@AdamMeakins Our limitations with sciatica has been relatively clear for quite some time. When I hear peeps say they are “treating” people for sciatica it makes me a little nauseous and I have to sit down for a while

The fact that the evidence base is so poor and weak for Physio helping those with sciatica is most definitely something to be worried/concerned about!
It’s not like the profession hasn’t had time or opportunity to demonstrate its worth or not here!

This systematic review concluded that there was “no difference in effectiveness of physiotherapy versus control interventions at short term, medium term, and long term.” Here’s 5️⃣ reasons why we shouldn’t be too worried 🧵

Exactly 25 years ago today, I scored my first — and only — professional goal.
Contrary to what I believed at the time, goalkeepers are not allowed to handle the ball in both penalty areas.
The goal was disallowed and I was sent off — still it earned me legendary status. 😉

“Exercise for OA”
Is reductive and pointless
Exercise for health> metabolism> system change> mment comorbs> potential mment OA symptoms but ultimately lifestyle management not “treatment”

Everyone across the City family is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Pete Eveleigh ❤️
Pete, who was a well-known and popular member of staff with @ExeterCCT, passed away yesterday morning surrounded by family, following a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in November 2022.
Pete was not only a valued colleague but a true friend to many of us. He was one of life's good people - kind, positive and deeply committed to making a difference. It is incredibly sad and hard to accept that his life has been cut short by this devastating disease.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his wife Jess, their young son Oliver, and all of Pete's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
Pete will be deeply missed across the entire Exeter City family.
Rest easy, Evo ❤️
