@greayson2532 Great version and great music! Tinyus for Amiga 500 may be even closer, as it doesnt have the extra vertical scroll the PC Engine added to have the status bar.

@SheriefFYI Just personal experience. My messages also work two way. Receivers can add info to them. The msg are always send directly. So after postMsg the sender can inspect returned results. Good for decoupling. For debugging you can search sourcecode who listens to a certain msg type.

@djyt Perfect! I did very much the same for Gradius->Tinyus. Hard part was to get it down then to 3 voices on OCS, but as you target AGA you have more freedom... Looking forward for the final game!

@UridiumAuthor @73v3 I think it would already help a lot putting the ship on the sides instead of the middle. Also it would feel more fair letting enemies dodge barries instead flying through.

@73v3 If we want more look-ahead, then the Manta will need to be smaller on screen, and therefore slower. If we go wide-screen, we will lose a bit at top and bottom, since there`s no border these days. I agree about the background complexity. Now we have even more pixels!

So if, hypothetically, I was going to create a New Uridium, what would I have to change to please everyone, and how might we achieve that? Make it easier, put training wheels on the Manta? Slow it down? Remove the meanies? Fly over a flat surface? Is it still Uridium?

Did a quick and dirty implementation of a spatial hash structure to speedup RTAO, ray results are stored in cells indexed by pos/normal/cell size and after storing a few rays occlusion can be queried from the cell instead of raytracing it. 3x faster RTAO with no denoising.
