Fun fact: the April 1 increase in the carbon tax rebate will *improve* affordability for the lowest 40% of income earners.
Alas, Conservatives and other opponents of the carbon tax never seem to point this out.

The Conservatives and other opponents of the carbon price/tax have effectively framed the April 1 increase as a “cost on people” If the government doesn’t change pause the increase, it will likely be seen as unresponsive and not empathetic to how people are feeling about the cost of living. You can defend the policy choice and be responsive to the context at the same time IMO.

This evening I tried to order in house at a Donair location. The young man did not speak English. The second young man struggled as well. A simple order from me and I gave up. I walked out. When I came to Canada there was a basic English requirement. What happened?
