I keep seeing people try and say chudthebuilder is the same as Johnny Somali, he just walks up to random people and starts harassing them for content. I've yet to see a single clip of where he goes up to someone unprovoked. Pay REAL close attention to those who are tripping over themselves trying to condemn this man.

The Odyssey is a hostorical mythological story about (likely) historical figures who’s racial identity is central to the story. Odysseus and the rest of the Greeks are *greek* they are not Ethiopians(ethiopians like Memnon are Ethiopian). Their Greekness, or lack thereof, is a central component of the narrative. Can you get away with casting whoever you want in The Odyssey? Sure, if the actors and directing is good enough you can get away with almost anything. But “getting away with it” and “it’s unimportant” are two very different things
Matthew Yglesias@mattyglesias

These are all biopics about historical figures whose racial identity is central to the story. By the same token, you couldn’t cast a black actor to play De Klerk in a Mandela movie.

Garth Ennis is about as subtle as a baseball bat to the face, but he’s the personification of nuance next to Eric Kripke. The Black Noir twist in “The Boys” comic was brilliant, because it restated and served as the ultimate demonstration of the central thesis of the series, which was that everyone — Vought, the supes and the government — were all idiots wielding power they didn’t deserve and couldn’t use competently. It also worked, as many of Ennis’s “Boys” stories did, as a crass parody of a famous comic storyline: Bizarro Superman. Vought created Homelander, and then realized that they had no way to stop him if he turned against them, so they created a clone as a failsafe. Of course, it was the failsafe clone that was crazy and evil. Then, Butcher, filled with rage and vengeance after Noir raped his wife and caused her death, went after Homelander. Homelander believed he had done what Butcher accused him of, even though he couldn’t remember it, because he didn’t know Noir was a clone of him, and there were photos of Noir raping Butcher’s wife. The belief that he had done horrible things he could not remember drove Homelander crazy, and he ultimately became the villain Butcher had convinced him he was. The entire thing was a tragic misunderstanding brought about by Vought’s treachery and incompetence and Butcher’s self-annihilating quest for vengeance. And at the end of the story, everyone was dead, but Vought, having caused the entire catastrophe, was untouched and relieved of the problem of Homelander, who they’d wanted to be rid of for a long time. But this wasn’t satisfying to Eric Kripke, so Kripke decided to just turn Homelander into a superpowered version of what people who get their news from the Occupy Democrats Facebook page think Donald Trump is.
Vought Crave@VoughtCrave

Eric Kripke on why they knew early on they wouldn’t be adapting the infamous Black Noir twist: “In the comics, [Black Noir is] a clone of Homelander this entire time and is actually the one doing all these horrific things. And again, it's a hell of a twist. But it's like, ‘well, wait, the villain I've been following isn't really the villain?’ And mileage varies, and I'm sure fans are mad I'm not going that way, but that felt not as satisfying to me. I'm like, if I'm going to follow this villain, I want this guy to be the villain. So, I was never really into the clone idea."

@NnPnemck @Jakers_the_cat They’re not trying to take Les Wexners name off of Ohio state buildings for no reason but Maisse clearly caught his name redacted. There’s 3m more files not released so you’re not arguing in good faith here, but keep protecting the Epstien donors flooding the race. Maisse wins!

The fact that people are still confused why MAGA wants to get rid of Thomas Massie blows my mind. This is the guy who led the entire Epstein hysteria hoax… handing Democrats and our countries enemies some of the most vile, baseless smears ever launched at our President. It was pure attention-seeking conspiracy theory w zero substance, and he knew it. Then he doubled down and called Trump’s administration “The Epstein Admin.” I don’t give an F about his votes on pointless legislation. Handing the enemy live ammunition to smear our President is unforgivable. Nasty Massie has to go.

@idealforreal @HMBohemond Warhammer Fantasy has a far larger cultural impact than AoS, which has yet to even have a tie-in game that anyone cares about.

@idealforreal @HMBohemond Your LGS is an outlier, I'd say. I have never heard anyone use "Warhammer Fantasy" to refer to AoS, and honestly I find it hard to believe that people are "barely aware" given that TW:WH and vermintide exist. The Old World is functionally Warhammer Fantasy 9th edition.

Most Age of Sigmar sales these days are to proxy armies like Skaven or Lizardmen in The Old World, which don't have official model support yet. Beasts of Chaos were a dead faction in AOS. They where cut entirely from that game into TOW and experienced a sales boom. TOW is the better game, with better lore, and sells better. It props up AOS model sales. Also don't make me bring up the Lords of the Lance controversy to prove how important lore is.
Spooky_Scary_SpineGrinder🐀@Spinegrinder117

“The Lore is why Warhammer sells” motherfuckers when you tell them that means Age of Sigmar lore is obviously a lot better than Old World lore because the models sell a lot better (they can’t deny it or their entire argument collapses)

Reproduction of Alexander the Great's lion head helmet as it is depicted on the Alexander Sarcophagus from the necropolis near Sidon, Lebanon. It was the symbol of Heracles, his ancestor, whose apotheosis can be seen on the cheek guard.

@HMBohemond Wrap it up man. You know so little about Warhammer Fantasy and AOS that whenever you talk about it it discredits your opinions on 40k. Lizardmen are not a significant selling point. No one is playing Old World (unfortunately) everyone in the community refers to fantasy as OW

Chudthebuilder: Defends himself by shooting an evil career criminal in the arm while being brutally beaten on the ground by said stalker. Bond set at 1.25 million. 125k NON-REFUNDABLE required to not spend the next year in jail. Karmelo Anthony: Brings a knife to a school track meet, likely with premeditated intentions. Stabs a kid TO DEATH in the heart after allegedly provoking a confrontation first. Bond set at just 250k. Only 25k non-refundable required… and he has been living in luxury in his parents’ mansion while the young corpse of his victim rots in a small wooden box.

@feathersardines @sandylanceley If you wouldn't give up your citizenship in favour of that of where you're living why on earth should they care about your opinion on their country?

@sandylanceley I see both sides of the debate. Choices do have consequences yes, if I married a foreign national and needed to live in her country for an extended time would I give up my Australian citizenship? I'm not sure I would and I feel for those in the same situation here.

“My father has lived here 50 years as a permanent resident and is deeply angered at these proposals” LMAO Did he ever consider taking up citizenship so he could vote on policy? Sorry, but I’m not interested in his views because he wasn’t interested in committing to Australia
