@Thewarlordai @YaohrelienZYae @TheMG3D In photography you think about different possible angles, lighting, whether to zoom in or not, etc. Do you think that much when doing a brainless activity like typing into a program and letting it generate the “art” for you? fucking lazy bum

Using Gen AI doesn’t make you an artist
Michael tweet media

@Azranium @TheMG3D that he is trying to become an artist, he is just a dude that uploads his drawings online. Being an artis has very to do with art, and more on how you see the world. By the amount of stupidity im getting in this comment i doubt anyone reding this has the brain to understand it.

taking over 8 hours editing each pic to match somewhat so the story make sense, make sure each video is somewhat ok for kids audience, make sure the text is ok, the music is ok, the transitions. i mean, i dont see how my work is less important than yours, just because the outcome is way better, you spend 8 hours and came with a mediocre draw, i came out with a full episode for my tiktok

@almcla26 @3DxDEV7 Why? its unusable slop. Try uv-unwrapping something onto this and check under the nose, behind the ears etc. Buy actual textures from 3dscanstore and get rough, albedo, nms, displacements etc in proper resolutions or make them yourself instead..

@3DxDEV7 I got a better prop you can use for chat GPT it created this map from two photographs. You just got to direct the prompts correctly.

@IsThisA3DModel Sora (accusative case declension of the word "sori") in Icelandic means filth/trash (or even slop!) which is quite fitting. After all, Icelandic was supposed to be Chatgpts second language.

@ORIGINALOGLOC @HebertySales Its generally just a rough guideline for the variations of how the skin looks depending on what's underneath. Fat deposits, bones, more or less bloodflow, skin thickness, veins etc varies so you can start with these colors as a base. Very useful for 3d texturing too

@NikTek @RandomCTGuy Rendering everything twice can be quite expensive, there are more things to worry about than back then and often times things like drawcall budgets are more limited rathen than just polycounts, there are other things as well, like overdraw etc that eat up performance

For some odd reason, modern games can't seem to handle simple mirror reflections without using Path Tracing that requires an RTX 4090 to run somewhat decently. Why don't they just handle mirror reflections the same way as GTA: San Andreas did on a PS2 console?

Dutch scientists: Your headphones are making you gay. A lab in the Netherlands performed tests on numerous headphones and found them to possess endocrine-disrupting chemicals, which mimic hormones, that can cause neurodevelopmental problems and the feminization of males. Leading products from Bose, Panasonic, Samsung and some Sennheiser headphones and other companies are now being pulled off the shelves. Notable on the list of headphones possessing dangerous levels of these chemicals are gaming headphones from Razer. “Daily use – especially during exercise when heat and sweat are present – accelerates this migration directly to the skin.” From the study: Bisfenol A (BPA). Easy to enter your body through your skin when you wear the headphones for long or when you sweat while having them on. Even small quantities can weaken your immune system, cause fertility issues and allergic rashes.

I still think that at that moment he was joking. But since then, like NewsNation, he's discovered just how many people are interested in this topic and is using it as a means of distraction, so he's pretending it'sreal. We are sadly not going to get anything proving NHI.

I'm testing a shader that adds a detail texture at close range in VR, so it doesn't get blurry even if the player sticks their face right up against a wall. Note that the detail texture used here is just a quick placeholder the transition and details will be better in the final build.

@KingTodd1992 @glukozUVP no, but you can reproject it if you duplicate the uv channel before re-packing (ie keep the original ones on one channel, and the new ones on another channel).. except for normal maps which probably would require a re-bake.

@glukozUVP When this tool does this, does it also take the texture the UV is using in effect. basically if i use this, it takes the texture and changes it. then generates a new texture to match the new UVs done? If it does, i will be interested in it

@AEasteppe @alexfredo87 lods generally simplify things at distance, lower polycount for models etc. Secondary/detail maps let you overlay another texture (normals etc) onto another, to break up the first layer which may be lacking in resolution up close. Detail maps are often tiled noise etc

Would anyone in the #b3d #blender community know how to remove these lines on the skin when using Random Walk (Skin) SSS? Using a Sub D modifier helps alleviate it but at the cost of a massive render time increase.
