Here's what bugs me about the Skunk Works fusion thing. In 2014 Charles Chase says they'll have a working prototype in 5 years. In 2019... nothing. No update. No "it didn't work." No "we're still working on it." Just silence. If it failed, why not say so? Skunk Works has no problem admitting when projects don't pan out. They've cancelled plenty of programs publicly. The only reason to go completely dark is if it worked and got pulled into a classified program.
