I'm starting a weekend project to build myself a "one click, drone scan this area to create a immersive 3DGS scene" android app that controls my Mavic mini 4 pro I'm starting off by building simulation env in blender to iterate on flight paths and protocols. for the sim, I'm using a photogrammetry mesh of a real place, spawning cameras via flight paths, rendering them, exporting their positions as COLMAP and using the pgm mesh as the init point cloud to test my hypotheses 2 things of note: - gpt 5.3 codex is amazing. it feels so advanced to work with. - seeing a default blender cube in a splat gives me fuzzy wuzzy feelings
