Understand that, but this happens all the time. Next week it will be other owners who feel slighted. I’ve been doing this for almost 20 years and trust me there’s no perfect solution. When you draw a line there’s always players who are just short of it. The current process was established to provide a consistent approach to allow for more frequent pos changes given the data available. Maybe should never have tried and just followed suit with industry. Clearly it could be improved and will look into it just like every other part of the site. Until then I’m sorry you didn’t get your guys changed but there’s nothing else I can add at the moment

Especially with opt out. But doesn’t mean I don’t see the issues or want to make it better going forward

But In the interim there’s multiple solutions

The AFL website positions are determined by the official stats provider which also sets the fantasy position changes for AFL fantasy and SuperCoach. And all evidence suggests it maps 1:1 when the positions come out in the preseason and in-season changes. In the absence of relying purely on heatmap data, it made the most sense to use this as a consistent benchmark. If Marshall is listed as a Ruck, it would imply their data has him primarily playing there or just haven’t updated yet. Yes we could go off script and might have to in future if they make such errors, but for integrity sake we’re not changing the process mid-season
