@CFBwSam Who is saying that? I don’t know a single SC fan than has that belief. The recruiting is back to standard and the program is finally operating at a high level but we’re a year or two away on the field.

USC is somewhere in-between the 15th and 5th best team in the country this year... However, Oregon is either the best or 2nd best, and they have better players at most positions. This whole narrative that USC is the superior program right now just isn't correct.

@slmandel Pete Bavacqua dropped the series. That's the Notre Dame AD in case you didn't know. There was a deal in place to kickoff the season on netflix and each team would have garnered an extra 5M per year. Pete said no because he didn't negotiate it. These are facts.

@georgewrighster That’s not what LR said nor wanted. SC didn’t want to play ND during the BIG schedule. They worked with partners to create an annual kickoff game that would have netted both school substantially more income. ND passed on $25M more in revenue. Why? No clue.

Lincoln Riley didn’t want to play Notre Dame because it made USC schedule “too tough” but then says:
“These are the type of games you want. These are the type of games that we came here for. We want guys to come to USC because they want to be in these games as well.”
