@EmiratesSupport @emirates Trying to contact you since afternoon to rebook a cancelled EK flight (as suggested by you) from DXB as my family is stranded since the last 5 days. It's impossible to contact you right now. Please reach out, urgently.

@the_mel_jar @jesusrglez Alessandra Lemma, Bruce Fink.

@jesusrglez The reason why Annie G. Rogers is so good is because first of all, even if she’s showing us technique, she’s really writing a novel. Most of my other choices for technique writing is based on their ability to demonstrate technique through their chosen medium of the novel. 😊

@MarkLRuffalo I am surprised you haven't done a podcast/interview with him for CPR. Please do. He is wonderful!

@JonathanShedler @PCPSIreland Loved every minute of it! Looking forward to more of these.
English

My thanks to @PCPSIreland and all who attended my workshop on personality styles in psychotherapy—and special thanks to the case presenters who graciously volunteered to discuss their clinical cases so all could learn. It was an honor to have this opportunity to work with you! 🙏

@AllenFrancesMD Taking an empathatic stance isn't always about collaboration; it's, at times, about bearing witness to parts of people which are heavily stigmatized for their "negative" connotations. Kernberg's work indicates of empathy extended to these parts.

@freudian_chips @JonathanShedler Hi! Where can I find Leclaire's take on the term? Any citation? Thanks.
English

@JonathanShedler I agree with you, inner child is not a psychoanalytic concept. Berne and Jung were not practicing psychoanalysis either. Serge Leclaire had a wonderful take on so-called “inner child work” and it’s place in psychoanalysis.
English

Also... contrary to article, "inner child" is absolutely not a psychoanalytic concept. It is not concept of any contemporary psychoanalytic/psychodynamic theory and it was not used y Freud either (not once in 4000+ pages).
Frankly, it makes us cringe.

@milantheshrink No defense remains adaptive if it is the only one present at all/most times.

There still needs to be more clarity regarding the revised HRA under the UGC fellowship schemes. Strangely no circular or official notification is available anywhere. Scholars/Nodal officers have yet to receive a proper update. Please help the scholars! @ugc_india @EduMinOfIndia

This is a great Q. Lemme try to answer in a brief thread.
1. Try not to think so much about WHAT to do or say (though you do have to think about it a bit obv.) Rather, think about what does this mean, what is going on in this person’s mind as a response to their life.

@Hannah_R_Snyder @KMKing_Psych @Dr_Christoph I'd be really worried about the students who are asked to skip Freud/psychodynamics given that they hold strong empirical, cultural and ecological value as endorsed by the most scientific minds of our time. We are have come really far from the "not-so-relevant" debate.
English

@KMKing_Psych @Dr_Christoph Yes time to end this. I put up one slide in Developmental that just says "Psychodynamic theories: not empirically supported" and tell them that's all they need to know and they can skip those sections of the textbook.
