@KennedyMmari Whos the scientist who proved this ans I am supposed to just swallow it? Well I did my own research and I have an independent verdict. I am not about to be told what to make up of my own history by some scientists I don't know!

I think he still looks terrible, but it’s not entirely his fault. There is a real psychology behind it. When status and recognition haven’t always been fairly given (especially to oppressed people such as blacks), we ended up leaning into what can’t be ignored. So visible “success” becomes proof. Sneakers, clothes, cars. It’s not just flexing, it’s also saying “you will see me no matter what” But that’s also the trap. When everything is built on being seen, you have to keep performing to maintain it.

WATCH | A video has surfaced showing Wicknell Chivayo spending about €330,000 (around US$380,000) on tailor-made clothes from the luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana for his wardrobe. In the video, he is heard discussing the price of one outfit, which cost more than €10,000 (around US$11,000).

In most cases gov would act by highlighting a project and going shopping for interested parties. We have done that since 1960s. Maybe that should tell appetite is not as strong? Maybe change the premise by decoupling the two to attract interest? Unless umemaanisha we put in $3B of taxpayers to get it running?

@MikieMushi Mike, you are wrong on this—your analysis is binary, but this is a question of political will and being lax. What the government needs to do is act. That is what @zittokabwe is asking.

The debate on Tanzania's energy future keeps focusing on the wrong end of the problem. CNG stations without a national gas pipeline network are like EV chargers without a power grid. We built the fibre backbone before the internet cafés. We need the gas backbone before the pump stations. First mile first. 👇 x.com/MikieMushi/sta…

Why does a country sitting atop 57 trillion cubic feet of proven natural gas reserves continue to spend billions of dollars importing refined petroleum for its transport sector? The answer is not geological. It is political. thechanzo.com/2026/03/06/afr…

Wonder why the USG backs its tech companies? This here. In agri. And nust a little more R&D, this same tech will be used to down all kinds of drones -the hardest weapon to fight against at the moment. So, from agri to national security just like that. It'd probably be useful to try get our society to understand cause and effect

Podcast idea: use OpenClaw to make two personas, man and woman, who are lovers, with agentic capabilities. They should be chatting about life, love, everything like normal human being. Then take the chats, upload to NotebookLM and produce a podcase conversation. Put on Spotify. Gen Z will love it. Thoughts? @MikieMushi @GIVENALITY

The universe has a way of conspiring! It started as an imitation in the Model UN General Assembly as a student with ambition. Twenty-seven years later, it is a reality. It is through the journey as a then-member of the UN Club and later Chair of the Youth of the United Nations Association of Tanzania (YUNA) that I got to associate myself closely with the work of the UN in Tanzania and later the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where, coincidentally, I was first placed in the Department of Multilateral Cooperation (DMC). As a young officer, I frequently traveled to New York to attend the UN General Assembly and other UN meetings. Little did I know that one day I would stand proud and represent my country as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations, New York. I thank Her Excellency President @SuluhuSamia for entrusting me with this honor, role, and responsibility. I accepted with much humility, and I look forward to doing my best in representing my country with all my skills, will, and abilities.

@seanmdav You seriously underestimate how much a war can incentivize a people to be compliant. You should probably look into how Nagasaki and Hiroshima shaped a once extremely aggressive Japan!

The lesson Obama taught the world when he allowed Gaddafi to be overthrown and murdered AFTER disarming in good faith is that nukes are the ONLY real insurance policy for national leaders. Will Iranians look at what happened and conclude they shouldn’t pursue nukes, or will they instead reason that they should’ve pursued them even mote aggressively, albeit discreetly? Putin has nukes and lives. Kim Jong Un has nukes and lives. Xi has nukes and lives. Pakistan, which sheltered Bin Laden for years, got nukes without anyone noticing, and its leaders sleep soundly at night. Iran’s leaders are dead because they didn’t get nukes fast enough or secretly enough. No amount of war is ever going to change those incentives.

This is why it’s important folks to retain your manufacturing base, Because when push comes to shove, financial engineering can’t do it all. Truly a terrible outcome for the Gulf and I imagine their lobbying efforts will intensify greatly over the next few days to end the war. They will utilize every single inch of financial leverage they have over the Trumps to try to force an extended ceasefire. We will finally learn the answer to what is greater, Arab money or the Jewish lobby!?

Assuming what Anthropic says is true (which is not), so they built military-grade AI and bid for a tender worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and when the client, a military entity that fights wars that involve killing, laid out the terms, they grew conscious? Like, didnt you have prior knowledge of what the client you are pursuing does?

No. Hiyo labda ni faida ya pembeni (by the way). Miji inapangwa; 1. Kwanini basi tusipange miji yetu? Wakoloni walipanga Posta, Kariakoo, Ilala, Upanga, Oysterbay na Masaki. Na miji ya Tanga, Lindi, Tabora, Mtwara nk. Sisi tumepanga wapi? Idara za mipango miji zipo wapi? Nawasilisha! Imeandikwa na Dr. Chris Cyrilo.

We* built the first ever Turing-complete Swahili programming language — Nuru. And we just secured a $40,000 contract to bring it to 5,000 learners in Swahili-speaking classrooms. And I know what you’re thinking: Why build a Swahili programming language?Aren’t there already a dozen “better” languages than Nuru could ever be? Yes. “You’re absolutely right!” Now buckle up and hear me out! As AI systems get stronger, the “how” is getting “cheaper” every year. Implementation details are being trivialized. The real advantage shifts to the “what”: knowing what to build, why it matters, and having systems understanding at a high level. The winners won’t be the people who can write the most syntax from memory, they’ll be the people with strong fundamentals and the confidence to build. That’s why we believe the programming language of the future is going to be the one you already speak.... For the millions of us from the so-called “3rd world countries”, that language is Swahili! When we started teksafari.org, one thing became obvious fast: integrating into public schools in Tanzania would be hard. Most technical learning is delivered in English, but for many young Tanzanians—especially outside big cities—English is a third language. We don’t really do excuses. And we couldn’t sit around waiting for policy to catch up to the urgency. So we built the Nuru Playground, on top of the Nuru language that @AviTheDev had been working on, so we could finally deliver our technical programs in Swahili-speaking classrooms without the translation tax. We have already reached hundreds of students with a couple schools on our waitlist. Read the full article -> linkedin.openinapp.co/65go2 The future remains exciting 🫡 CC @costechTANZANIA @Said_Hozza @Afruturist @VenturesSahara

I was told yule "Mkubwa" cited my tweet in one the meetings, @awamisammy i will be blunt here: Our ecosystem remains "structurally difficult" for traditional VC due to: -currency controls -exit uncertainties -high taxes/bureaucracy - limited incentives Leading to reliance on; -grants -debt -foreign incorporation.
