Now I understand why I’ve never liked that style of wearing caps. Must have been designed for fools for letting in sunlight and heat as though to dry out the dampness of whatever’s left in the brain.

@N__Josephs Man, Maraga is shallow. Other than the rule of law and democracy, he has nothing else to offer. He lacks imagination, to say the least. Okiya, for instance, is a thousand times better. Not even close.

@MudgeRulf You're this regime’s sympathiser that's why those who are opposed thereto find themselves in your not so favourite pages. Good thing about it all, the CoK 2010 permits you to, but why get irked when others enjoy the proceeds of the very CoK?

So Millie Mabona commented on my post below. I will summarize what she wrote in 2 points:
1. I should respect Orengo .
2 I will never achieve what Orengo has achieved.
To her first point, I responded by stating my reservations on some of
Orengo’s actions and to her second point I reminded her that my destiny lies in the hands of God and not in the hands of any human being.
Suddenly, I couldn’t see the comment again and by the look of things I have been blocked 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Baba’s death is indeed showing up things !
Anyway, the weather is lovely in Germany let me get back to enjoying the weekend !

@AloiseIvan @AmayiOmbima @Thriving_luos Aloise, I needed no context. I didn't ask for it.
In any case, am I not a learned friend myself? Would I be one, but be lacking in that particular information?
Kimbelembele kama ya Ruto sitaki.
English

@AmayiOmbima @Thriving_luos Did you see any contestation of the origin thereof, anywhere in my reply?
English

@PreenceNicholas @Thriving_luos The etymology of the term 'learned friend' comes from a time when Law was often always a second or third degree😅

Richard Samwel Owino Oyengo, otherwise known as Dr. Collela Mazee was not just any musician! Colly wuod gi Apiyo ma Jabar Ochiago was in a class of his own. Also known as wuod Osala(in honor of his paternal uncle), Colly the golden boy, as Oindi Ndugu Rabby used to refer to him, was simply multifaceted.
A band leader, song composer, vocalist, guitarist..all rolled into one! Colly's music undoubtedly depicted "class" and what Luos would call "nyadhi". The fact that he led one of the most successful musical bands in Kenya, for a good period of time, speaks not only to his managerial skills, but also to his leadership acumen.
Those of you who've been privileged to occupy any leadership position will agree with me that it takes the favor of God, discipline, understanding, strictness, and a great deal of wisdom to successfully lead a group of people. Christened "hono" owing to his outstanding talent in song composition and guitar strumming prowess, Collela Mazee steered Victoria B Kings, a conglomeration of many talents, to unprecedented levels of greatness and fame. Victoria B Kings became a household name here in Kenya and beyond! It's also important to note that Collela was a good captain.. good in the sense that he also allowed his teammates to flourish. He appreciated the fact that music, just like football, relies heavily on teamwork and the ability to identify where everyone's strengths are and place them where their potential could be fully harnessed.
This explains why almost everyone who plied their trade with Colly in particular and VB in general, irrespective of which role they played, was, and is still famous among the fans. An ardent Collela Mazee's fan will easily mention a number of drummers (the likes of John Oyona okew gi Adwera, Maurice Abich Omoya kawich mbuta, Kitoi Brenge Brenge wuod gi Machwara jaDudi, Awil Kamusa etc) who were with Colly at one point in time.
The same can be replicated in all the other departments. So famous was Colly and his VB band, that the annual Migori, Kisumu and Rachuonyo(the famous Kendu-Bay) shows, were incomplete without Colly's attendance and performance. Fans always marveled not only at how he played his solo guitar, but also how he blended so well with the other guitarists like Oriro wuod gi Ajolo nyaguok jaRapogi, Odham Wembe, Onyango Odol okew gi Ochele, Onyango Orego-orego, the legendary Paul Odongo Agwata, just to mention a few. Fans were always left in awe of the team's perfect coordination both on stage and during recording as the choir department (consisting of Oindi Ndugu Rabby jaber ka nyako, Okeyo omin Arunga ja Kanyapala, Apiyo wuod gi Colly sungu odagi loch nyakwar Osimbo among others) put their best foot forward to meet their fans' expectations.
Continue resting in peace Colly Oula mayore...iyawo buk marang'ongo ogwela..jo muziki pod somo moos nyaka sani! Mano Colly the golden boy, osiep Lordy wuod Abonyo koth wuon chiemo tokod Ogola Dave ja Nyakach.. Ogola yoo ji ohero! How do you remember this maestro?
"Collela mae duonda okew gi Walter, banjo amolgo nyamoos, kiparo nyagOtieno Yucabeth nyar Ulumbii, nyar Jack Were! Gimomiyo aweri nyar gi Joska, timni nyong'a nyadundoo, higni sani aboro joma neno wuoro ndi, pod wagenoree!..."

Can we get an explanation as to why salaried Kenyans are compelled to contribute to the Housing Levy to construct houses on public land ; land held in trust for all citizens, only to be required to purchase these same houses from intermediaries who profit from public contributions, despite adding no value? What legal or policy justification exists for taxing citizens to build, then selling the same to them at a profit?

When the time comes, we will prosecute you and your fellows for misusing and plundering public resources.
