@TweetsbyCoachP @nicklemkerd As someone who has an interview tomorrow to be a first time AD. What advice would you give? How do you make a stakeholder feel heard but then disregard what they have to say?

In the last three years as a HS Athletic Director, I fielded over 100 emails, texts, and calls attempting to explain why a coach was directly responsible for a loss one of our teams suffered. In that same time, I didn’t take a SINGLE call, text, or email telling me a coach was the reason we won a single game. We played for, and/or won, 10 state championships in 2 seasons.

I like the idea tho!

@TheGridironHQ Coaches need pockets. We got players shorts without pockets and they never wore them. But coaches need pockets for practice plans, and snacks.

@PremierLinePlay I remember one year I got shorts without pockets. Still hearing about to this day. Apparently that’s a sin in the world of football gear. 🤣

@CoachNiklos Here is the thing with football. We are the only sport that truly has limited time. Soccer, basketball, wrestling, baseball in some states can truly be year round with clubs and travel sports. Football has x# days in the summer and middle of Aug-Dec if lucky. Time is valuable.

FOOTBALL COACHES!!! Need your help. Not looking for a debate or a fight. Legit question here. Where do the defensive coaches stand during team? In 16 years I’ve always stood in defensive backfield to best help coach, give feedback, and see what the boys see. However, like all offensive coaches we are “always” in the way. Just looking for solutions.
