Indian people have perfected mangoes for over 4000 years of selective breeding. With 1k+ known variants, and key commercial ones like alfonso and kesar. The world barely knows about this because these mangoes are not exported. The greatest act of self care by a culture repeatedly colonized is keeping the mangoes for themselves.

Ngl, adult friendships require grace. People are very busy. People are healing. People are growing. People are taking time for self care just like you. Less communication isn’t less love. Check in not out.

Back in college, I used to host these little brunches at Socials over weekends - 5-7 people, no agenda, just good conversation. I'd run a waitlist form and pick people who felt curious and give-first. Ended up meeting 200+ people from different walks of life. It worked weirdly well. People found internships/jobs, friends, and what not. A few are still close years later. Been in Bangalore a while now and miss it. Thinking of restarting it. Would you come? Know someone who would? Thoughts?
