If Nigeria happens to you, it will treat you like the poorest and hopeless person in the world despite your money and influence in the society. It will shock your ancestors. Two years ago, a man died under a a fancy building he spent billions of Naira on in Lagos, and to date, no one knows if his body was ever pulled out of the rubble. It took up to a week to dig (some) people out but not the owner — from the last thing I read. A billionaire! A popular celebrity drowned and was pulled out of the water like a fish, dropped to the floor, stared down on by a confused crowd moaning and snapping pictures, No CPR, no medical team no police to control the crowd crashing into the hospital and morgue. Do your best not to be a victim of Nigeria.

Saw the video of the “alleged rescue of Jnr Pope” and I was in disbelief. We have zero emergency response as a people. No ambulance, no one was even attempting resuscitation. They just laid them on the floor and people were shouting. I put it to you that majority of people who were pronounced dead in naija n put in mortuaries would actually survive in the west and go home to tell their stories.
