We know why: 1. Within medicine, family med is considered < specializing, 2. Family MDs are the quarterbacks of patient care, but get paid like benchwarmers, 3. Medicine has changed and family MDs can't carry the burden alone (we need teams), 4. Primary care is underfunded.
