I find it weird that people are so passionate that God made a covenant with Adam. God gave a command and followed with a judgment in the case of disobedience. That's it. Every command in the Bible isn't a covenant.

@ReformedCaio where does the mystery go? Is it a mystery how God is meticulously determining everything (including sin) and still good or is it how his omniscience and foreknowledge work together? The Calvinist chooses the option that causes a blight on God’s character. I pick the option that doesn’t bring God down.

Appealing to the mystery has to HOW God creates creatures who makes choices that He doesn’t determine is a far cry from appealing to the mystery as to HOW God does determine men’s evil desires and choices without blame. The Bible affords the former but not the latter. Why? Because the Bible never explicitly states He determines men’s evil desires and choices, but it does explicitly state that pride and lust isn’t from Him (1 John 2:16) and that He doesn’t desire that men do these things.
So the foundation is the scripture, not a philosophical speculation about how God’s knowledge must work (ie if God knows and creates then He must determine it)

I have to ask: why is it ok for you to appeal to mystery, even grounding his view on “the mystery of libertarian freedom,” but it’s not ok for the Calvinist to appeal to mystery? Here are Leighton’s words defending his view. Notice how the foundation is mystery. “Calvinism says that men choose according to their greatest desire. The desire, in other words, makes the determination on Calvinism. We simply disagree. We say people make determinations, in the same mysterious way God chose to create “ex nihilo.” He created something from nothing. We can’t explain exactly how He does that. Nobody can explain how God creates something from nothing. But so too we are given by God the ability to create our own choices. God is creative, and we are made in His image as creative beings. And therefore we are given a level of creative ability; the ability to make choices. So the mystery of libertarian freedom is similar to the mystery of creation itself. God created something from nothing. In a similar way He has given us the ability to create something from nothing, namely our desires and our choices.”
