If you’re attending any protests tomorrow and the police tell you to stop filming, know that they don’t have the legal power to make you stop filming in public places. The police can only seize your phone or camera at the scene if they suspect it contains evidence of a crime. After you’ve left the scene, they can only seize it if they have a court order. The police have no power to delete images or insist you delete them. I share this because the police have demanded several people I know stop filming, hand over their phones or delete images. It’s important to know your rights.

🌺🇬🇧 Tributes have been paid to RAF veteran John Timms, who has died aged 90. John served in Cyprus and Egypt during the 1950s and was awarded a medal for his service during the Suez Crisis. Beyond his military service, he was known locally as a talented musician, keen cyclist and active member of his local community. From performing with his jazz band at Foxton Locks Inn to attending remembrance events and continuing to cycle well into later life, John clearly touched many lives through his energy, friendship and commitment to others. He was laid to rest in his RAF blazer, shirt, tie and boots — a reflection of the pride he carried in his service throughout his life. A gut punch. At my mom’s doctor appointment today, we were told they believe her brain tumor (non cancerous) has grown and she had another stroke. My father just called and has been diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease. He is refusing dialysis at this point. If you can spare a prayer, I would sure appreciate it.

Heavenly Father, Today this family is carrying heavy news and deep uncertainty. We lift up this precious mother as doctors believe her brain tumor has grown and she has suffered another stroke. Surround her with Your peace, comfort, and healing presence. Give wisdom, clarity, and compassion to every doctor, nurse, and caregiver involved in her care. Ease her pain, calm her fears, and let her feel Your loving arms holding her through every moment.Lord, we also place this father before You as he faces stage 5 kidney disease and difficult decisions ahead. Grant him strength, dignity, wisdom, and peace in his heart. Even in moments of fear or exhaustion, remind him that he is not alone. Southport knife attack survivor Leanne Lucas 'devastated' after 48 NHS staff accessed her medical records for NO reason Leanne Lucas, the dance instructor who was stabbed while running a Taylor Swift-themed children’s workshop in Southport in July 2024, has been told almost two years later that 48 members of staff at University Hospitals of Liverpool Group looked at victims’ confidential records with zero clinical justification. The trust discovered the breaches in August 2024 but delayed telling survivors until this week, claiming it was to protect their mental health. Leanne said: “I am absolutely devastated and horrified that my privacy has been invaded when I was at my most vulnerable… 48 people not involved in my care abused their position of trust.” The hospital has now launched HR disciplinary action against the staff involved, notified regulators and professional bodies, and issued a formal apology. Leanne has waived her anonymity and is represented at the ongoing Southport Inquiry by law firm Broudie Jackson Canter.
