Eric and I were proud to cast our ballots this morning, and I’m truly grateful to all of the poll workers who are volunteering across the state today. Make a plan to vote before the polls close at 7:30pm at actonforgovernor.com/vote!

The interesting thing about Matt Taibbi and Michael Tracey is not that their reputations are completely dead now, especially compared to how revered Taibbi was as a journalist, but it's that they keep finding new ways to sink even lower.

@ProChoiceMike No you have to elect people who will pass laws and have a president who will sign it, that's how you undo some of the damage. You can't elect people you bash constantly you have to attack those who stand in the way not those willing to fight.

Not enough people are talking about this. Hungary’s incoming PM has said that Viktor Orbán used Hungarian government funds to help finance CPAC, the flagship networking event for GOP candidates, members of Congress, and conservative media in this country. Under U.S. law, that is not just a Hungarian problem. Foreign governments are barred from spending money in American elections, and Americans are forbidden from soliciting or accepting it. If these allegations are true, this is a direct attack on the integrity of American democracy. We need a full investigation by Congress, the FEC, and the DOJ. The American people deserve to know exactly what flowed from Orbán’s government into this country’s political ecosystem, who was on the receiving end, and what it bought. ms.now/opinion/new-hu…

With all due respect, Your Excellency, we expect action, namely for the State of Israel to stop accepting grain stolen from Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories. When such action is taken, we will be most happy to receive relevant messages via X (former Twitter), WhatsApp, Signal, email, paper post, or any other channel of Your Excellency’s convenience.

One would expect the submission of a legal request before Tweeting. You chose differently, for your own reasons. Finally, you submitted the request late last night and now you are following it up with another Tweet. The request is now being examined by the relevant authorities.

Israel and the US claimed to be waging the war in Iran for the sake of the Iranian people. But the bombing and now the blockade are having a devastating effect on the people. Especially the most vulnerable ones: 1) The U.S.-Israeli bombing campaign and naval blockade has thrown roughly two million Iranians out of work (one million directly, one million indirectly), while inflation hit 67% in mid-April. Economists warn that the continued ripple effects of the naval blockade and internal disruption put up to 10 million to 12 million jobs, nearly half of Iran's total labor force, at critical risk. 2) With most imports having transited through the now-closed Strait of Hormuz, essentials like red meat have become unaffordable. Subsidized meat costs ~$3.60/lb in a country where minimum wage is ~$130/month. In some areas, food inflation for items like bread, cereals, and poultry has reached between 135% and 140% year-on-year. 3) Reconstruction costs are staggering: Iranian state media estimates rebuilding at ~$270 billion — against a GDP of just $341 billion last year. 4) Since the war's onset, between 3.5 and 4.1 million Iranians have reportedly been dragged below the poverty line due to the combination of currency collapse and business shutdowns. A complete humanitarian catastrophe in Iran is very likely. Starvation, diseases and misery, much like in Gaza could be in the offing. And of course, none of this will hurt the ruling elites. It will just hurt ordinary people.

Israel is sliding deeper into the Kremlin abyss. It has consistently refused to permit help to Ukraine with weapons that use its tech under license. These things aren’t easily forgotten. And when you force others to innovate because of this, you will also create your own competition. And the Ukrainians are very, very good at military innovation.

⚡️Axios: Israel turns down US request to approve missile supplies to Ukraine. Israel has rejected a U.S. request to allow Germany to send Spike anti-tank missiles to Ukraine, Axios reported on May 25, citing U.S. and Israeli officials.

We are seeing an interesting change in the profile of political assassins. They are becoming more intelligent. Three recent ones include an Ivy League grad. An aspiring engineer who scored 1530 out of 1600 on his SAT. A 4.0 high-school student with a prestigious college scholarship. And now, a Caltech grad. Why is that? Because these people are smart enough to understand that we have a corrupt oligarchy in this country destroying our lifestyles, the earth and our democracy. The reason brilliant people are turning to violence is that anyone with a brain sees that voting and the normal political channels are doing nothing facilitate change to an unjust system. This is not a call to violence. I am a pacifist myself. But if we don't make our society more just by peaceful means, this will happen more and more.
