After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Rahmetli babami hatirliyorum bugunlerde hep, ne zaman Ortadogu konusulsa "orada dev gibi Iran var, kimse birsey yapamaz" derdi. Adamlar butun ABD uslerini vurdu, petrolun belirleyicisi oldu, Israil ABD'nin eteklerinin altina kostu, simdi de Bagdat'tan cikarmaya calisiyor ABD'yi.

No, I do remember 1979 and was there in the US Congress. The Iranian people were really pissed off after 26 years of the Shah's larceny and tyranny, joined the Revolution and forced the Shah to flee. All good. Then the idiots in Washington gave asylum to the Shah in the US when the crowds wanted him home to face the justice he deserved. So 400 enraged students took the US embassy hostage and asked for three reasonable things: 1) send the Shah back to Iran; 2) Return something like $20 billion that was hidden off-shore; 3) apologize for the 1953 CIA coup that ended their democracy. The warmongers on the Potomac said hell no, sent in the rescue helicopters in the middle of night which turned into the Desert One Disaster----and the rest is history. Very simply---the fools on the Potomac ultimately saddled the Iranian people with the theocracy that has made their lives miserable.

China could officially announce to begin the purchase of oil from Iran (already doing so) and GCC countries using RMB (yuan), while simultaneously opening offshore Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE) vaults, co-custodied by Iran and GCC countries, to enable Iran and GCC nations to park their excess RMB trade surpluses in physical #gold and #silver.

@pati_marins64 Maybe they'll send a token ship or two, but they (Europeans) don't have the military capacity to do anything serious anymore

Hormuz No matter what leaders say now, in the end, I believe they will send something to the task force that will attempt to open Hormuz by force. The problem is that the number of ships doesn't change anything; it’s Iran's strategic position, which for now is impenetrable. They have mountains embedded with caves filled with racks of drones and anti-ship missiles. That’s not even counting other things they will use. Hormuz is a strategic key for Iran. There’s no way to just say, 'Hey, let’s go take the strait, who’s with me?' The chances of this succeeding are minimal.

Beyaz adamin yuzyillar suren emperyalizmden gelen kibri, devrin degistigini anlamamakta israr ediyor. Iran niye taksin senin ne dedigini x.com/EmmanuelMacron…

I have just spoken with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. I called on him to put an immediate end to the unacceptable attacks Iran is carrying out against countries in the region, whether directly or through proxies, including in Lebanon and Iraq. I reminded him that France is acting within a strictly defensive framework aimed at protecting its interests, its regional partners, and freedom of navigation, and that it is unacceptable for our country to be targeted. The unchecked escalation we are witnessing is plunging the entire region into chaos, with major consequences today and for the years to come. The people of Iran, like those across the region, are paying the price. Only a new political and security framework can ensure peace and security for all. Such a framework must guarantee that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons, while also addressing the threats posed by its ballistic missile programme and its destabilising activities regionally and internationally. Freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be restored as soon as possible. I also urged the Iranian President to allow Cécile Kohler and Jacques Paris to return safely to France as soon as possible. Their ordeal has gone on for far too long, and they belong with their loved ones.

Three major misunderstandings are distorting the Iran War These three represent lingering hopes for a quick victory But hoping Iran will bail us out is not a strategy This war is entering a long strategic game—and we need to see how it actually works
