14:1 rule about text banking. When I were text banking years ago for who turn out to be the traitor Ogre, I noticed in the reply, there were 35 times as many voters who said they would vote for the Ogre than the voters who said they.would vote for Lamb, and when I were viewing the Lamb Text bankers they said they got 280 Lamb to 50 Ogre replies.

Who funds Haley Stevens? AIPAC's super PAC: $15 million, with $5.7 million attacking her opponent Abdul El-Sayed. A dark money PAC tied to a Northrop Grumman lobbyist: $12 million. This week she voted against cutting military aid to Israel. The money got what it paid for.

It was an honor to serve with Kennyle in Wayne County where she was my Chief of Staff. Kennyle leads with purpose, commitment, passion, and grace — and the people of Wayne County are better off because of her leadership. To continue to have her support means so much to me.

I'm always going to be fighting for Michigan. And you better believe I'm going to be doing it with a little bit of joy, a little bit of enthusiasm, a little bit of energy, and a little bit of stick-it-to-em!

@KBP9a91 I’m sorry, if you can’t articulate issue-based, policy-driven reasons for why you support a candidate, you are, by definition, a low information voter. You can be mad that you fit that definition, but it doesn’t change the fact that you do.

Despite misleading ads financed by AIPAC, Obama has not endorsed Haley Stevens. If concerned about the auto industry in Michigan, the UAW has endorsed Abdul El-Sayed. cnn.com/2026/07/17/pol…

I covered Michigan in 2018 and arguably my investigative story on Thanedar is why he lost and Whitmer won. Thanedar is an incumbent now through several cycles, that’s never an easy win unless the incumbent is in a new scandal.
Ryan Grim@ryangrim

There is a false sense of complacency that @DonavanMI13 - state Rep. Donavan McKinney — is easily going to beat Rep. Shri Thanedar. New poll shows Thanedar up by 4 points 46-42%. Once people learn about the candidates, McKinney wins, but he’s currently on track to fall short

The "moderates" dominating Democratic Party politics and punching left is what led to Donald Trump being elected not once but twice. Our country is in the mess it's in because the Democratic establishment has failed us repeatedly. If the Democratic Party was actually good at winning elections and governing, then we'd be having a different conversation. It's not actually good at these things, though.

The Oligarchs are getting nervous. AIPAC and other billionaire-funded super PACs have already spent almost $50 million in Michigan to try and defeat Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. They have the money. We have the people. Fight back. Let’s support Abdul.

Whether or not people like the fact that some progressives may stay home if Stevens is the candidate, it's probably true. If true, wouldn't it be smart to guard against that risk by not going with a candidate who's an outspoken Israel defender in a way that most Democrats aren't? Go with what's popular. Avoid what's not.
David Weigel@daveweigel

Emerging take on Abdul Twitter (though not from Abdul himself) is that if Stevens beats him, progressives could stay home and let Rogers win. Abdul's put this much more diplomatically - that there are a lot of guys named Abdul in Michigan who didn't vote D in 2024 but would probably vote for the non-AIPAC candidate who happens to be a Muslim guy. x.com/bhaviklathia/s…
