Yeah pretty sure in the early days all of us boosted just to make ends meet, top 2 at an circuit tournament was 20K split 5 ways and after org took their cut you barely had enough to cover rent and food. There aren't many options to monetize while pursuing pro play especially these days.

Riot nuking all of tier 2 in 2023 and then banning anyone boosting in tier 2 and below will be the nail in the coffin to all of amateur / academy imo. Idk how to fix this but I also boosted back in 2014 to convince my parents that I didn’t have to get a real job and I could pursue pro play. (Was necessary bc you didn’t make any money playing tier 3/2 and not incentivizing anyone to do this) I miss when there was a real tier 2 system with sister teams.
