The trauma our community has experienced due to the shelter is undeniable and deserves thorough investigation and study. The impact on our families has been profound, with many neighbors reporting a decline in mental health as they live in constant fear of potential violence. While we acknowledge that incidents may be rare at times, the reality is that the unpredictability of such events is devastating. At a moments notice, it could be the worst day of our lives. Families like Harvey’s, who suffered an unimaginable loss, or workers who’ve faced terrifying situations at knifepoint, remind us that the threat is real. These stories are not isolated but are part of a broader, unsettling reality that affects us all. Our community’s well-being matters just as much as any other, and these past two years have taken a toll that we can never recover. We understand that those who are vulnerable need support, but this situation also demands accountability from those in power—@charlieclarkyxe, @PremierScottMoe, and @JustinTrudeau. Their leadership is crucial in finding a solution to this crisis. We deserve to feel safe in our own homes, just as you would want for your family. It’s time to restore that sense of security and end the turmoil that has plagued our community. The approach has not been to help the vulnerable, it’s been to hide them and silence us. JUST IN: The Executive Director of Prairie Harm, which operates Saskatoon's safe consumption site, has been fired, and external review of finances coming after the board discovered a "significant financial shortfall in operating funds". PHR says it spent more than it had in revenues to serve a growing need an undertake an "effort to respond to that need and avoid turning people away". PHR: "..... We do not believe there is evidence of fraud, theft, or personal misuse of funds. Financial management fell significantly short of what was required, and what our community, partners, and funders expect". Interim lead will be appointed to oversee day-to-day operations. #yxe

We have been saying it for years. These organizations pray upon the vulnerable in guise of help! The only people that believe PHR works is those on the payroll. Shut this place down and let’s begin restoring 20th… again.

This is exactly what places like @StoonTribalCncl and Prairie Harm Reduction feed off of. If they actually helped people, their business would shut down. It’s time the @SKGov and @TJenson33 releases the funds monthly to these failing “social supports” and monitors growth.
