The craziest sci-fi movie from the 90s turns 31 today

A lot of strange things about living in the era when every new horror film is hailed as a young auteur's breakout masterpiece but it's especially bizarre if you came of age in the 2000s, when saying a new horror release was good would generally get you sent to military prison

I worked as a street guard on this scene. Dozens of pissed of people not being able to get to work. Director didn’t smile or say good morning once to any of the crew receiving complaints about his production.

I’ve seen people claim that both Obsession and Backrooms were ghost directed by older, more experienced filmmakers, and it’s hard to imagine a more pathetic conspiracy theory about film. Even as a joke it’s sad
