I don’t see how you figure, other than running multiples, which is what got us into the ELD mess to begin with. All an ELD does is tell you what hours you have left. It doesnt tell you you have to drive, it doesnt tell you you have to stop. It tells you what your hours are. What you do with that info is completely up to you. Case in point. I was about 5 hrs into a shift yesterday. I got sicker than a dog. Migraine, stomach irritation, stopped on the side of the road and got sick. Immediately went to a truck stop a couple miles down and parked to rest. ELD showed I still had 9hrs of on duty time, and 6 of drive time. Despite that, I still stopped for the day. It didn’t force me to drive. What kills is is the customers running the exact same hours, so we have no choice but to all be on the road at the same time, and subsequently parked at the same time, to make those appointments..

Nothing is worse than seeing an exit ramp lined with trucks because drivers ran out of hours with nowhere safe to park. No restrooms, no food, no dignity. It’s the same principle. The left celebrated Kirk’s death and the masses on the right called for their firing from their jobs. The right (specifically Trump) celebrated Muellers death, Reiners death, and the masses on the left called for some form of consequence. I’m not a HUGE advocate for TPC.. I understand their purpose, but it’s not typically something I would avail myself of on the road.. HOWEVER I may have to start utilizing their services on Hometime. We are moving next weekend. I have discovered through conversations with my wife that TPC has a lot (green) literally across from my home (blue) 45 bucks for the weekend from Friday night to Monday morning.. I’m having her go take some video of the area to help me decide. If it’s big enough to safely get in there, I think imma do it.. Not having to spot my empty trailer at a random location would be a blessing..
