@JohnSimpsonNews You mean he will be out in *32* months, not 20? Plenty of time for Trump to further implement Putin’s agenda.

I respectfully disagree. In only 20 months Pres Trump will be out. His successor will almost certainly want to repair the fences Trump has kicked down. But America’s allies will always remember this episode, and will never rely on the US like they used to. telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202…

As I’ve said since that first Trump term, we may never know why Trump is so loyal to Putin. Bribery? Blackmail? Affinity for dictators & oligarchs? KGB asset? All of the above? More important is stopping him, because if he were a Russian agent, what would he do differently?
Jim Sciutto@jimsciutto

Trump has been threatening such reductions to a number of European and Asian allies going back to his first term. This particular announcement comes the same day he spoke with Putin - and it’s a development Russia would certainly welcome.

Is there a show from the last 20 years that makes you laugh so hard you can't breathe? One of those shows for me is The Office (US). We're rewatching it at the moment, and it is just a joy.

While it has been recognised for several years that low intelligence is a factor in support for populist projects like Brexit new research indicates that same low intelligence makes individuals unable to understand why they are wrong in short they're dim and don't know it Ironic

@markhumphrys He has been right about many things in the past, but the level of his dislike of Israel (not just its current government) is strange. I’d love to get to the bottom of it.

@JohnCleese Surely Putin, as well as having kompromat on Trump, is paying him off with billions into an offshore account? That matters more to Trump than his reputation.

Trump looking at inviting Belarus’s Lukashenko to White House. What possible good could come of rehabilitating the standing of one of Europe’s most entrenched dictators? Makes no sense. ft.com/content/69675c…

If OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX proceed with their public offerings (each of which would rank among the largest ever), are institutional investors going to have to sell other stocks to make room for them? This could be a significant drag on stock markets.

@ruth_deyermond @IlvesToomas The simpler and more likely explanation is that Putin, as well as having kompromat on Trump, is paying him off with billions into an offshore account.

The Trump administration alignment with Russia is not, I think, primarily about China - at least for the president and probably not for those close to him. If it were, then Trump would have been saying so for all the many years he's been focused on "getting along with Russia".🧵
Diana Nerozzi@diana_nerozzi

Trump aims to shift power from China by forging better ties with Russia via Ukraine deal. A Trump admin official told me finding a “way to align closer with Russia” could create “a different power balance with China that could be very, very beneficial.” politico.com/news/2026/03/1…

I just paid €4.80, like a proper fool, for an almond croissant from The Art of Coffee, a perfectly pleasant but fairly run of the mill café chain where their pain au chocolat is, more often than not, stale. Now, this croissant is large and stuffed with filling, but nearly a fiver for a pastry is simply too much. Yet this is how we're going. I could have said no thanks and walked out when the server told me the price, but you know when someone insults you and you freeze, and it takes you a minute to react? That, except with pastry.

Had nothing to say when the Iranian Government were gunning its own people down in the street by the thousands. Their manager defends the vile regime. If they are so ashamed of the Irish and British Governments - give back money they received from British/Irish taxpayers.

🗣️ “As an Irishman, he should be absolutely ashamed.” Kneecap rapper Mo Chara has criticised the Taoiseach’s planned St Patrick’s Day visit to the White House to meet Donald Trump. It comes after judges ruled Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh will not face a new terror trial. #VMNews

Blunt question: if Russia is allegedly sharing intelligence with Iran targeting US forces, why is the White House downplaying it? Why is Steve Witkoff saying we should “take Russia at their word”? And why is there virtually no public pressure on Moscow?
