The cost of having children is worth the presence of children. Full stop. I am dumbstruck at how our society thinks of children as a costly, time-consuming drag. What an impoverished way to think. No vacation will hold your hand in the hospital. No amount of mimosas at brunch can walk with you through grief. Double incomes cannot replace empty seats around the dinner table.

He doesn’t have a point. Because when his wife’s past was criticized much more gently by one his debate opponents he rightly suggested (while again using profanity and childish insults) that her past has nothing to do with what’s currently true and it was a low blow So he understands that people can have a past and still make correct statements and hold a new standard after repentance, he just chooses to ignore it when he wants to. He’s often “correct” in most of his political positions but his heart and mouth (out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks) are indicative of a dead spirit and being right about taxation and gun control isn’t going to save him or anyone mislead by him that you can be a Christian and refuse to repent of pride, arrogance, contempt, wrath, and lack of grace.

Rachel and Andrew Wilson are not Christians. No one who has been given a new heart by the Holy Spirit, going from dead in sin to alive in Christ, would have this kind of attitude about sharing the gospel.
