Yesterday, Özgür Özel @eczozgurozel , leader of Turkey’s main opposition party, removed from his role through a decision widely seen as driven by Erdoğan’s grip on the judiciary, marched to Parliament in Ankara under the rain. As The Guardian warns, the next election may be decided long before polling day. From the judicial coup against Özel to Ekrem İmamoğlu’s imprisonment, Erdoğan is choking democratic choice. But Turkey’s democratic flame is not out.

Meta employees are pushing back against a new tracking system that monitors mouse movements, clicks, typing, and screenshots on company laptops.
Meta says the system is designed to help train AI tools by showing how employees use software and complete daily tasks.
Many workers are concerned about privacy and feel the monitoring is too invasive.
Some also worry that the data could be used to build AI systems that may eventually replace parts of their jobs.

Because he plans to leave the Middle East high and dry. The intention was always to abandon our allies and those who are pro-U.S.

Trump urged several Muslim and Arab leaders to join the Abraham Accords with Israel if a deal ends the Iran war. The push is mainly aimed at securing a Saudi-Israel normalization deal, though major political obstacles remain. Leaders on the call reportedly reacted with surprise and silence, especially Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan, which do not recognize Israel. Source: Axios

This fascist MAGA regime under @realDonaldTrump thinks this country is governed by MEMOS.
The below post by @DHSgov DOES NOT represent policy. There is NO policy, NO law, NO court ruling that states immigrants "must return to their country" to apply for a Green Card. Quite the opposite actually.
THIS "policy" they mention is a MEMO issued May 21, 2026, which OVERSTATES the law by telling immigrants they "must return to their home country to apply" for a Green Card. That's not what the law, immigration courts, nor the U.S Supreme Court says.
ALLOW ME TO EXPLAIN LEGAL PRECEDENT to these imbeciles at @DHSgov
1) The statute mentioned in the MEMO (8 U.S.C. § 1255(a)) says adjustment of status "may be adjusted ... in his discretion."
It authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to grant or deny this benefit "in his discretion" inside the U.S. — but, it does not authorize ordering people to self-deport to apply from their country.
2) Matter of Areguillin, 17 I&N Dec. 308 (BIA 1980):
The Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) held that an alien who physically presents themselves for inspection at a port of entry (even if minimally questioned or "waved through") and is permitted to enter has been "inspected and admitted" for purposes of adjustment of status under INA § 245(a). This satisfies the statutory requirement to apply for a green card while already in the United States.
3) The Supreme Court case, Sanchez v. Mayorkas, 141 S. Ct. 1809 (2021), reaffirms the statutory framework for adjustment of status (in-country green card applications). It explicitly recognizes that eligible individuals who were inspected and admitted or paroled into the U.S. can apply for a green card while physically present in the country.
It does not say that people must return to their home country to apply. Instead, it clarifies that the "inspected and admitted or paroled" requirement is a threshold eligibility rule for using the in-country adjustment pathway.
People who entered without inspection, however, generally cannot use adjustment of status unless they later qualify through parole or another qualifying admission.
In short, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or @DHSgov, can use their "discretion," - as the law states - to accept or deny an immigrants status change, but the law and Court precedent does NOT state that immigrants must return to their home country to apply for a Green Card, or to change their status.
And immigration law does NOT give the Secretary of Homeland Security the legal right to kick them out of the country *FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE* of applying for a status change.
I emphasized the "for the sole purpose" part bcos although immigration enforcement is their legal responsibility, they do not have the legal right to ask immigrants to self-deport simply to apply for a status change.

Check out Haji Salar’s Facebook page. He is now openly advertising Kandahar-grown opium by the ton. Haji Salar is a Ghalzai Pashtun and a relative of Mullah Omar.
I also have another video of Ajmal Khan, a Zadran Pashtun hashish dealer, who operates a massive production network spanning hundreds of acres in Khost under Haqqani protection. He openly advertises on social media and speaks in English, Urdu, and Pashto, telling people he can ship products anywhere.
