All 8,094 of the side orange balls in place. This colourway is kinda fresh, isn’t it? Nice to work with others’ suggestions sometimes. Next up, the 200,000-odd white balls :) Muscle memory is being earned back slowly. Gonna need to get MUCH faster again. Piano piano :)

My Bro @forkashi ! What is Left of Resonance? Listen to " No quiero = y(sin) Mbar*6o.. by Forkashi on #SoundCloud (Link below) At its core, **resonance** is the phenomenon of amplification. It occurs when a system is exposed to an external force or frequency that matches its own natural frequency, causing it to vibrate with increased amplitude. It is, fundamentally, a state of intense, synchronized feedback. But when we ask *what is left of it*, the question shifts from pure physics to something architectural, societal, and existential. Here is a look at resonance across those dimensions—and what remains when the initial force fades. ## 1. The Physics: The Acoustic and Structural Reality In the physical world, resonance is the bridge between isolation and connection. A guitar string plucked in a vacuum is quiet; over a hollow wooden chamber, the air molecules match the string’s frequency, and the sound blooms. * **The Mechanism:** It is the conversion of energy into sustained motion. When two systems share a frequency, they stop being strangers; they begin to trade energy efficiently. * **What is left of it?** **The Decay.** In physics, no macroscopic system resonates forever because of *damping*—friction, resistance, and gravity. What is left of physical resonance is thermal energy (heat) and silence. The energy doesn't vanish, but it disperses into the background environment, leaving behind a altered state or a quieted instrument. ## 2. The Philosophy: The Relationship to the World Sociologists and philosophers (notably Hartmut Rosa) use resonance to describe the opposite of alienation. It is a mode of being where we feel a vibrant, responsive connection to our environment, history, art, and other people. A resonant relationship is one where you are touched by something, and in turn, you transform it. * **The Modern Crisis:** In a hyper-accelerated, digitized, and highly optimized world, our relationship to things becomes purely transactional. We don't resonate with our work or our tools; we manage them. * **What is left of it?** **The Echo and the Simulation.** What is left of genuine, deep resonance in a fast-moving culture is often reduced to "engagement metrics," algorithmic notifications, and fleeting digital feedback loops. We mistake a "like" or a volatile market signal for true resonance. We are left with the *echo*—a hollow imitation of a sound that has already passed, bouncing off hard surfaces without absorbing into anything deep. ## 3. The Systems: History and Governance Ideas, movements, and historical eras have their own resonant frequencies. A revolutionary concept or a cultural shift resonates because the underlying societal conditions are perfectly primed to vibrate along with it. * **The Aftermath:** When a massive historical movement or an institutional paradigm shifts, the initial peak energy eventually subsides. * **What is left of it?** **The Inertia and the Myth.** What is left of past resonance is structural inertia—the institutions, laws, and architecture built during the height of the vibration. We live inside the legal and cultural frameworks built by past generations' resonant ideas, long after the emotional and intellectual fervor that created them has cooled into routine. > **The Residual:** Ultimately, what is left of resonance is **vulnerability to the next wave**. Once a system has resonated, its structural memory is changed. A wood instrument matures and sounds better the more it is played; a human being who has experienced a resonant connection remains sensitized to find it again. What is left is the capacity to be struck anew. > Where did this question find you today—are you thinking about this through the lens of a specific system, a creative medium, or the general speed of modern life?

Tbf, Possible, yes. Practiceable, not really. So i will rephrase... If i want to issue assets to compete with Tradfi, but dont want to touch shitcoins... (Assuming RBG adopts this) I can now hire developers and tell them build based on this idea with large degree of confidence i will not be forced to rebuild the whole thing later because of "does not compute"? :) Asking for a friend...

If you know any bank that would take a business with the name “BTC isla” in it. Please let me know. As much as i would like to continue to be bitcoin only, theres certain things that require fiat. Especially in mexico.
isa⚡️@isabellasg3

They just closed my @Wise bank account because I'm into Bitcoin. And now, I am banned from ever opening an account with them. Great. This is why the banking system is rigged. I knew it was a huge red flag opening the account in the first place, they have over 10 countries they didn't let you interract with. SMH, this is why Bitcoin is important.

@wk057 @callebtc @GrassFedBitcoin Yes. If Ocean would have focused on StratumV2 and mining descentralization instead of hallucinating with the sickest looking dude on the blockchain (Luke is sick ! Its obvious!) we would be further ahead on an issue that actuallybis an issue that can be improved on objetively

Wouldn't go quite that far. OCEAN is doing some awesome stuff. Keep in mind that OCEAN isn't BIP110 simply because some key participants are supporting it and have influence over some of its direction. I wouldn't call BIP110 an attack... and if it is, it's been pretty poorly executed. 🤷‍♂️

@DudeJLebowski The scale of businesses these days is fiat phenomena and bitcoin is fixing it. Tables are turning in favor of dissident, small businesses that operate on bitcoin rails and elude the state as much as they can while big corporates dont have the option. Salud! Dude!

I'm starting to think that you can't have a successful Bitcoin business at scale and remain objectively good for Bitcoin.

@GrassFedBitcoin Stratum v2 was the way more important issue but you guys conflated both and exaggerated and lost the plot. Go Ocean Pool! Forget Bip110.

Big Bitcoin doesn't want you running a node or taking direct control over your money. OCEAN gives you a 50% discount on fees if you do. There are a few good business that push their users to act in a way that improves decentralization, they deserve to be celebrated for it.

I've been a OP_Return builder, and I know that data doesn't belong onchain. Yet, I'm still against BIP-110. I understand @LukeDashjr's perspective: arbitrary data onchain is garbage, and that's a big part of why I moved to build @utexocom on RGB (as client-side validation has minimal onchain impact). But @adam3us and @saylor are right about the remedy. If Bitcoin's value proposition is being a censorship-resistant neutral network, then policing other people's transactions goes against its own nature. Plus, it undermines the very monetary use case the proposal claims to defend. All Bitcoin's transactions are equal, but BIP-110 wants some to be more equal than others. It sets a dangerous precedent. Splitting the chain and spreading liquidity between two forks wouldn't lead to any desirable outcome. Bitcoin's liquidity is deep enough that markets would form for both. But that would just replay the movie we already saw in 2018 during the BSV wars with Craig Wright: opponents threatening to dump prices by selling the other side's tokens. (Interestingly, even after being dead for 8 years, BSV still has enough market cap to keep the zombie coin trading.) @Excellion said it well this week: Bitcoiners should start to see themselves as an Alliance that can survive disagreement. We may share different views on how some things should be done, but in the end we’re all working towards the same goal: making Bitcoin win. Given that <1% of miners support the proposal, the community has already made its choice. The bigger problem is that everyone is arguing about what to keep off Bitcoin, when the bigger story is what's coming onto it. USDT has ~570M users. Bitcoin has ~365M. It’s a clean 1.5x by simply adding one asset. The largest user base in crypto is coming to the motherchain. It's our best shot at making Bitcoin work as what it was created to be: a peer-to-peer electronic cash system. We want people to use Bitcoin, not just hold $BTC. Bitcoiners don't want to spend their sats: they need an asset they're actually happy to spend, with Bitcoin's security guarantees underneath. USDT is coming home, and we won't get another chance like this. Let’s not waste it.

a lot of financial professionals don't understand this market anymore. they just can't say it out loud. stocks that keep climbing no matter what. valuations that haven't made sense in years. a market that feels like it could fall off a cliff any given year and wipe out people's retirements. nobody says it, because they're supposed to be the professionals in the room. but here's the trap. you can't sit in cash, inflation eats it. you can't hide in bonds, that era's over. and you can't fully trust the thing everyone's crowded into. when every asset of the past is breaking down at once, that's the signal that something new is coming to replace them. figuring out what that is might be the most important financial decision of the next decade.
