Split testing happening again. If they were confident in this update they would’ve already released it. I imagine a scenario where live data disagrees with engineers, yet they believe they’re right. So they continuously split test hoping to prove it, but keep failing to do so.

holy shit, claude code with an ad creative skill is insane, why did nobody tell me this? instead of bulk creating in canva, train claude on your entire ad library (or... someone else's) create these files for your skill: 1. design references 2. ad components 3. brand colours + fonts created 20+ ads in maybe 10 minutes that worked brilliantly on both mobile + desktop.

A few people are asking if it was the 'Cereal Killer Cafe' guys that still owned the domain name. Answer: it doesn't look like it. The domain expired in 2026, before being 'caught' and auctioned, reaching £80k.

Remember that phase when a couple of guys opened a cereal cafe in Brick Lane? It closed a few years ago, but... they got so much PR at the time that the domain name recently sold for £80k due to the strength of all the links it had picked up.

@fba Apple used to be 1:1 euro to dollar. 2008 crisis in greece and euro went below usd. Never waste a good crisis, so apple stuff has been more expensive in eur value since. And probably vat being included in the price 😅😂

@michael_kove @fba It is €45 more, not €100 - pre-vat is €560 and US is €516 It’s not that much more expensive. You had a lot of guesses for something wrong.

I don't think apple cares as much. Europeans will add an extra 100€ because they are already used to seeing US tech being more expensive. Yes they will buy it, or at least apple can try to sell it at that price. I'm also guessing this is break even sale for Apple. The entry (gateway) product into ecosystem, so Apple might not be willing to take losses on those products

Average person doesn't have the capital to scale anymore - Good luck to the 90% on getting the money together for an office, tool subs, HR count, taxes, filings, accountants, insurance etc etc You now have AI to do a ton of the minor grunt work, so the most profitable model for MOST people is this right now...

The HIGHEST MARGIN/ROI business model in digital marketing right now is a solo SEO with 3-4 retainer clients, 1-2 sites, a personal brand and a digital product. No employees, no office (uses private co-working rooms, mostly works from home), and no investors. - 3 retainers at $3-5k/mo = $9-15k/mo - 2 affiliate sites doing $3-5k/mo each = $6-10k/mo - 1 course or eBook doing $2-3k/mo passive = $2-3k/mo - Total: $17-$28k/mo with 85%+ margins pre-tax That's $200-$330k/year with no team, no overhead, and the ability to work from literally anywhere in the world... I know SEOs making more than this who are stressed, burned out, and drowning in staff management, and I know solopreneurs making exactly this who play poker three days a week. Scaling isn't always the answer, sometimes the best business is the one that doesn't need anyone's permission to run.

Everyone's fighting over casino terms in English where a single link costs $500+ 🤣 Meanwhile, I'm watching SEOs quietly make $50k/month in niches like: - Indonesian casino affiliates - Turkish cosmetic surgery - Norwegian finance - South Korean beauty - Indian pharmaceuticals - Brazilian adult - UAE gold trading - And forex in just about every country that has people dumb enough to signup for it... The playbook is dead simple: - Find a high-CPC English niche - Research the non-English equivalent - Check competition (usually 10-20x less) - Build in that language with native writers - Monetize with geo-specific affiliate programs A DR30 site can rank on page 1 for terms that need DR70+ in English, the arbitrage is insane and most English-speaking SEOs completely ignore it. The best SEO money I ever made wasn't competing in English, it was going where nobody else with my skillset was looking.

@RyanJones I've been out of the SEO industry for awhile but I wonder what it is that makes SEOs so prone to gate keeping lmao. You absolutely do not need a comp sci background to work in this meme field.

At the risk of offending most of the SEO community: anybody who says they're an expert on AI who doesn't have a strong comp sci or information retrieval background is only an expert on USING AI - not how it actually works.

@TJiMTS Affiliate income does not count towards VAT if the company you are providing the service to is outside of the UK. You do not charge VAT on services outside of the UK.

A creator hit £95,000 in brand deals. Never registered for VAT. HMRC backdated registration to the month they crossed £90,000. That's 20% VAT on every deal since, out of their own pocket. Here's what you need to know. The VAT threshold is £90,000 of taxable turnover in a rolling 12-month period. Not calendar year, rolling 12 months. Brand deals, sponsorships, affiliate income, paid appearances... it all counts toward the threshold. When you cross it, you must register within 30 days. Miss it, and HMRC backdates it. You owe the VAT on every invoice since you should have registered. The brands won't reimburse you. That's your problem. Track your rolling 12-month turnover. If you're approaching £85k, speak to an accountant before you cross it, not after.

The reason I haven’t been tweeting much is that we are sort of in a sad state of affairs in SEO. Yes I could talk about some more basic things, and I’ll try to do that more. But some of the techniques being used now you simply cannot talk about in a public setting.
