@Voided__Reality @VisualFidelity Wah!! Hate the game like me!!! Wah!!! FPS wah!!!
English

@VisualFidelity I highly doubt that, otherwise I wouldn't be seeing every peer review bash the horrible performance.

Most games look insane before launch but look downgraded at release...
Crimson Desert somehow looks even better than expected
NikTek@NikTek
One of the most stunning views I've come across in Crimson Desert and I still haven't explored even 30% of the map.

@00yisan @CrimsonDesert_ Not enough alphabet soup people and themes for IGNLMNOPQ+

@kzarinvitao Single player mmo is a great description and something I’ve thought as well. Game is amazing

One of my contrarian takes:
Society peaked in the 80s, and it’s been in slow decline ever since.
It was the last era of widespread optimism. You can feel it in the music and movies.
“Excess meets innocence.”
The 80s also mark the end of the analog world—local economies, in-person everything, and a certain forced simplicity.
Malls, movie theaters, magazines, and BMX.
Then, beginning in the 90s, came the tidal wave of tech:
Mobile phones
The internet
Social media
AI
All incredible innovations, with lots of positives. But on the whole I think they’re *net negatives* for society.
We replaced a finite, real-world experience with an infinite, digital one.
Infinite information. Infinite comparison. Infinite distraction.
Human’s aren’t wired for that, and you can see the consequences all around us.

@hehedhsbsv96252 @JakeSucky What game do you feel is deeper with more interaction? I would like to play that game! I’ll wait, thanks
English

@JakeSucky crimson desert is one of the most basic games i’ve seen. sure you can do a lot but when it comes down to it………….

Saw someone complain about how Damiane was introduced around chapter 3 in Crimson Desert.
Am I really the only one who noticed her at the very beginning of the game?! She even had a blue highlight on the map and she kept staring at Kliff.
She also hangs around the palace of Serkis, the guy who gives the Greymanes land. Barden tells you she's his guest when you two are properly introduced to each other but she's walking right beside him in chapter 1 when you first meet Barden.
People really don't pay attention 🙄

@AI_EmeraldApple Story isn't MIA it's up to you to listen to dialogue and fill in blanks. It's practically a really slow burn.
English

My updated impressions of Crimson Desert...
The story isn't just mid. It's basically MIA, with the quests only there to facilitate exploration and introduce you to gameplay mechanics.
It is not the Witcher 3, or breath of the wild, or even where the winds meet.
Crimson desert is a true sandbox where you explore the world, do crazy things, and have punchy combat.
Is it enjoyable? Yes, but only if you like that kind of completely open-ended sandbox experience.
My main complaints remain the controls, which still feel laggy after the update, and the UI that still needs work.
The game should also have had a character creator so that you can create your own character instead of playing Kliff, who has the personality of a potato.
Other than that, the game is great. It feels like playing a completely insane, chaotic game where you can go from riding crazy mounts to doing feats that are impossible in other games.
I don't think the game will ever breach 248k peak players, as it is a hardcore sandbox; it is not most players' cup of tea.

English

@AI_EmeraldApple The White Crow tells u that you will save Pywel but first you must go out and make a name for yourself. Thats the plot in the beginning. Explore, take on work and build a name and construct a camp. Listen to the narration and think longer term than the next 5 hours.
English

@MadhiLaureate Im not 100% sure, I was fighting in a forest and cut down some trees while fighting so I dont know if it was from a tree or a drop from a enemy...im thinking from a chopped down tree, so look for hives in tress and chop it down
English

I beat this boss in 10 seconds, 1st try with a beehive on a stick.
The bees went inside the suit and killed him instantly.
True story.....experiment
SpawnYaard 🎮@SpawnYaardReply
Can't believe that guy rage quit over this miner boss. Crimson Desert Boss: 3/76 2 skills made it easy. 1st your Force Palm, use it when he is about to drill 2nd perfect dodge - dodge and boom 4 attacks. If you miss a palm attack, run around to avoid drill. Rinse and repeat!
English

@Whosethis78 I’m with you on that.
I hate to see that happening. It just makes me wonder if there is stuff going behind the scenes.

I’ve always liked Shawn Ryan.
I respect the spotlight he’s put on child exploitation globally. I spent years in Southeast Asia working alongside organizations that investigated these crimes and provided aftercare for these victims.
But on Joe Kent … I think Shawn’s off here.
Yes—the FBI has overreached.
Yes—they fumbled the Epstein communications at times.
Both can be true.
But here’s what’s happening now:
“Because I don’t trust the FBI on Epstein … I’ll automatically trust anyone attacking the FBI.”
I think that’s a mistake.
You can question the FBI AND still call out Joe Kent for going on Tucker and Megyn’s platforms and planting vague, unverified claims about TPUSA, Erika, Charlie, Trump, Iran, and Israel.
Two things can be true at once.
Don’t trade one blind spot for another.

Upsetting news to hear #StarTrek Starfleet Academy will not go past Season 2. The fandom's inability to embrace any new storytelling outside of nostalgia might as well be the death knell for the fandom.
English

@BraddrofliT This assumes it can be restored. The world long viewed the U.S. as the sun that always rises. Once that sun fails to rise even for a single day, the very idea that it may not rise again develops a momentum of its own.

If you rate #CrimsonDesert a 45 you either hate your job or got totally other serious issues in your life. 😅
Don’t listen to haters and enjoy gaming life. 😎
