This is Anton Kreil.
A kid from Liverpool, raised by a single mom with no money, who walked into Goldman Sachs at 20 and walked out of Wall Street at 28 with the kind of resume nobody believes is real.
His prop book at Goldman grew from $25M to over $400M in four years.
Lehman headhunted him in 2004.
JP Morgan paid him a fortune to run their global pharma, biotech, and chemicals trading franchises in 2006.
He retired in May 2007, months before the entire system blew up.
The 16 minutes below is the closest thing I've seen to an actual trader explaining how he thinks.
No fluff, no charts, just the framework that made three of the biggest banks on Wall Street fight to hire him.

I have owned Rolex watches, nice cars and a big house in the right neighborhood. I dine out often. I spend crazy money on vacations, sporting events, my boat, casinos and the list goes on. I could easily have a net worth 2 or 3 times more if I didn’t do these things.
I still figured out how to retire at 55 but keep cash flow coming in with my “side hustle” in the reselling business. The financial gurus on x would have had a stroke watching me enjoy my life and buying the stuff every poor kid wanted.
The things I know now will create more $$$ in the next 5 years than the first 30.
Is it ok to just make more money? All this cutting back doesn’t sound so good to me.

Keep money in money market mutual funds for cushion.
In treasury bills for certainty.
In stocks for compounding.
In real estate for concrete value.
And in other ventures for creativity and growth.
Wealth is not built in one basket.
Diversify wisely.

Two things I will drive into the skull of my kids
1. You don't have a spiritual problem. Your problem at any point in life is a result of your actions or inactions. Always assess yourself and act right
2. There is nothing like retirement. Make sure you work and create streams of income till you leave this earth. Yes your work rate and load will reduce as you get older. But don't ever have the word "retirement" in your vocabulary.

Underrated life advice: Have more hobbies and fewer opinions. Learn an instrument. Plant a garden. Build something with your hands. Cook. Paint. Run. The happiest people I know spend less time debating life and more time actually living it.
