@LukyVJ @meelix_protogen @Una @argyleink Interesting, then it was just the example you mentioned that was a bit misleading. Should probably get removed. But it's only :contains right or did you also stumble across the :val() thing somewhere else?

@LukyVJ @Una @argyleink At least that's how understand it, evertything else would be weird as this is a WD that otherwise would have more infromation regarding htat.

@LukyVJ @Una @argyleink I think you're misunderstanding what's written there 🙂 :contains() and :val() are selectors inside of JSONSelect that's being referenced inside of this example.

@bramusblog BC-feature sounds weird, but these are changes made for certain features that cause breaking changes 🤷🏻‍♂️

@bramusblog Is that just me being more aware or the CSS WG being more risky and by that improving DX? I mean those features aren't new they've been around for some time 🤔

@fantasai @tabatkins Could you maybe DM me a bit more information on where to find what's been tracked etc? I'm currently looking into how we could extract these information from the specs to automate the process of categorizing stuff 😊

@Qu_ntin_ @tabatkins Things like selectors are defined in prose, not by a table of attributes like properties and descriptors are, so there's no blue boxes for them. But IIRC Bikeshed does track several different types of linking terms beyond just properties/descriptors and their values.

To anyone at the CSSWG, is there any reason why there are mainly (only?) propdef and descdef? Why aren't there other defs for data types units pseudo-elements, classes etc.? Maybe @tabatkins @fantasai ?

P.s. I have no idea how bikeshed works. Maybe there is already a solution for this that I don't know of.

This could help CGs like CSS-Next and WebDX to get a better overview of what got recently added and maybe needs to be added to one of their coresponding buckets.
