Got my blood drawn today for regular + T levels analysis. Turns out I walked out too fast and fainted in the middle of the street. Blurred vision, dizziness, next thing I know I'm on the ground. By trade I install home theater equipment. I’ve put together and seen absolutely amazing setups. I’m talking 110 inch screens with a 7.1 Dolby atmos surround sound system. I say all that to say…. Nothing will ever remotely come close to the experience you will have in the actual theaters.

@Jawmuncher 16:9 is the "Goldilocks" aspect ratio. Wide enough for 21:9 and tall enough for 4:3. IMAX is around 16:11, so slightly taller than your standard TV.

I maybe be stupid…. But I never understood why we don’t use the fullscreen for film on widescreen TVs. The black bars made sense when it was widescreen on a 4:3 screen. Why is all that space unused for home releases? Minus the few 4Ks that include imax switching.
