🚨 Research shows repeated complaining physically rewires your brain to prioritize stress and negativity. The way we speak about our daily challenges does more than just vent frustration; it physically alters the architecture of the brain. When we engage in chronic complaining, we repeatedly activate neural networks responsible for detecting threats and processing stress. Through the biological process of neuroplasticity, these circuits become stronger and more efficient every time they are used. Essentially, the brain learns to become more adept at finding things to be unhappy about, turning a temporary mood into a permanent biological predisposition toward negativity and fear-based thinking. As these negative pathways become the brain's default setting, individuals often experience a measurable increase in baseline stress levels and emotional volatility. This heightened sensitivity means that even minor inconveniences can trigger an intense stress response because the brain has been conditioned to interpret the world through a lens of threat. Findings discussed by the Stanford University School of Medicine emphasize that while this mechanism is powerful, understanding the science of affective neuroscience is the first step in consciously redirecting those pathways toward more resilient emotional patterns. The next chapter of our American story starts now. 250 years of rising, remembering, and turning toward one another to embrace our part in history. As we begin this once-in-a-generation year, take a moment to reflect on who we are—and who we want to be. Happy 2026. Happy Semiquincentennial year!

Asset Seizure in California?! Two months ago, the Besties covered the CA "Billionaire Tax" What it really is, according to Friedberg: "the seizure of private property from citizens by the government" "Once you open that Pandora’s Box, we might as well study Lord of the Flies … there is literally nothing stopping 51% of citizens demanding that their government go out and seize 100% of the private property of the 49%." I just watched $4 billion in silver longs get vaporized in 70 minutes. $83.75 to $75.15. Fastest wipeout I’ve ever seen. CNBC is already running the “bubble burst” narrative. Bloomberg too. They want you scared. They want you out. But nobody’s talking about what happened in Shanghai during that exact same window. While American traders panic-dumped at $75, Chinese buyers were paying $90. Ninety. For the same metal. The premium didn’t shrink during the crash—it widened. Let that sink in. This wasn’t a top. This was a heist. I’ve been in this game long enough to know what a liquidity vacuum looks like. There were zero bids between $83 and $76. The algos pulled everything. Price didn’t fall—it teleported. And the second it hit $75, physical demand stepped in like it was Christmas morning. Here’s the part that should terrify you: China locks silver exports in 72 hours. January 1st. Export licenses only. They control 70% of global supply. COMEX is down 70% on inventory. London’s vaults are bleeding. And Elon Musk just tweeted “this is not good” about the shortage. The gold-silver ratio is 60:1. Historical average is 30. That’s $150 silver just to normalize. Everyone’s calling this 1980. It’s not. The Hunts were speculators playing paper games. This is industrial demand crashing into empty vaults. Solar panels don’t negotiate. AI chips don’t wait. Retail just handed their silver to sovereign wealth funds at a 15% discount. And most of you have no idea what’s about to happen. Read the full story here - open.substack.com/pub/shanakaans…

Absolute insanity in silver right now: At 6:20 PM ET, just 20 minutes after futures opened, silver prices surged to a record high of $83.75, up +6%. By 7:30 PM ET, silver prices fell to a low of $75.15, erasing -10% of its value in 70 minutes. Buckle up for a crazy week.

🚨 SOMEONE WITH JUST YOUR PHONE NUMBER CAN QUIETLY TRACK YOUR LIFE - AND YOU’LL NEVER SEE IT A free tool just went public on GitHub that reportedly turns WhatsApp and Signal into silent tracking tools. There’s no hacking involved, no message ever sent, and no notification to warn you - your phone simply responds on its own in the background, the same way it does dozens of times a day without you noticing. The only visible sign is your battery draining faster than normal while the phone is idle. From those background responses alone, someone can infer when you’re home, when you’re asleep, and when you leave, slowly building a map of your daily life without touching your device or ever alerting you. Researchers warned companies about this more than a year ago, and it’s still believed to be exploitable. If all someone needs is your phone number… what exactly does “encrypted” even mean anymore?

If I was in my early 20s right now I’d go learn investments. I’d start apprenticing & investing in real estate, private equity, venture. I’d worry less about accolades for my resume & more about assets for my portfolio. Wish I’d cared less about credentials than cashflow.

RFK Jr: Why did "gluten allergies" go up so much in 2006? "we discovered that Roundup was a desiccant. And what that means, if you spray it on a crop, it will actually dry out the crop. And one of the big enemies of the farmer is that if there's rain around the time of harvest, their crops can get wet, and they get moldy, and then it ruins the entire silo." "What Monsanto did is they began telling farmers, spray this on the crop, on your wheat, right before harvest or at the time of harvest. And it was so popular that about 85 % of the Roundup that has been used in history has been used since 2006. A large part of that is as a desiccant. And what that meant, is for the first time they're spraying it on food right at harvest." "Not early in the season when they have a chance to wash off, but actually just before you're going to eat it. And they're spraying it for the first time on wheat because there was no such thing as Roundup Ready Wheat. They started spraying it on wheat as a desiccant. And so 2006 marks the day when suddenly these gluten allergies began exploding. The celiac disease and all these kind of wheat problems that we started seeing in this country." If you measure it back and say, when did it start? You can look and draw a red line at this 2006 and it's the year that they began spraying it on.

With apologies to @SenWarren, you can’t memory hole three of the largest US bank failures – Silicon Valley Bank, Silvergate Bank, and Signature Bank – which occurred in 2023, all under the Senator’s beloved and ill-conceived regulatory straitjacket as enforced by the Biden Administration. Over-regulation is not the solution to what ails the American banking system. Rigorous, responsible supervision is. The initial report on the 2023 debacle by former Vice Chairman for Supervision, Michael Barr, was an exercise in obfuscation and sophistry. The American people deserve supervisors who are not asleep at the wheel, and the incoming Chairman of the Federal Reserve should undertake a thorough investigation of the systemic and oversight failures that led to that disaster.
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

The Trump Admin wants to turn the clock back to 2008 and let Wall Street run wild. We all know how that ended – with taxpayers bailing out Wall Street while millions lost their homes and got fired from their jobs. Donald Trump could be setting the stage for the next crash.
