Since 2018, we’ve helped an historic 100,000 nurses join our province’s workforce. Thirty thousand more are currently studying at Ontario schools, many of them supported by our Learn and Stay Grant, which covers tuition for nurses who stay and work in underserved parts of the province. NEW: Britain's first gay surrogate parent has been charged with r*pe and human trafficking for s*xual exploitation. Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, 57, who is now married to his daughter's ex-'boyfriend,' became the first gay parent to surrogate babies in 1999 in the UK, with his now-ex husband, who had throat cancer. Drewitt-Barlow purchased multiple children, twins, Aspen and Saffron, Orlandom, and another set of twins, Jasper and Dallas. He also has children, Valentina and Romeo, with his daughter's ex-boyfriend. Barrie and Scott Drewitt-Barlow, 32, co-own the Maldon and Tiptree Football Club. Barrie has been charged with 3 counts of s*xual assault on a male, four counts of r*pe of a man 16 or over, and two counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation, according to Sky News. As Canada stares down tariffs and economic uncertainty, our plan to protect Ontario is working. In April, Ontario led the country in job creation, adding 42,400 new jobs, including 8,700 new manufacturing jobs. That’s 680 per cent more jobs added than the United States last month, adjusted for population. With a target on our economy, we can’t let up. We’ll keep lowering costs for families and businesses, cutting red tape, speeding up approvals, training workers, securing investments and creating better jobs with bigger paycheques. That’s how we protect Ontario.

Fought off 6 machete armed men to protect 37 sleeping orphans. 24-year-old Anthony Omari woke up to find a group of armed thieves in his bedroom at the Faraja Children's Home in Ngong, Kenya. It was the orphanage which he ran with mother Martha Bosire, that was housing 37 children at the time. It was the fourth break-in that month, so Omari was ready this time. He grabbed a hammer he kept under his bed and charged at the men, forcing them outside. But as he turned back to calm the crying children at the door, one of the attackers struck him in the face with a machete. Despite the horrific wound, Omari managed to lock the front door behind him before passing out. The injury required 11 stitches and left a long scar from his forehead down his cheek. He was discharged from the hospital after two days and returned to the orphanage, he didn't want to leave them for too long unsafe. Omari's story went viral when a student posted on it on reddit, asking for any help, and what happened next was incredible. Within days, more than 3,600 donors from all 50 U.S. states and 46 countries had contributed over $80,000. The funds paid for a new fence, security guards, beds the children had been sleeping on the floor and other essentials. Anthony Omari later earned a civil engineering degree, started his own construction company, and continues to visit the children at Faraja regularly.
