The House will vote today on a three-year FISA 702 extension. Any Republican telling you they’re voting yes on FISA in exchange for a CBDC ban is a liar or a fool. The Senate will strip the CBDC ban. They know this or should know it. And no one should support FISA regardless!

A Central Bank Digital (CBDC) is the ultimate tool for total government surveillance and control over every American’s finances, handing the federal government unprecedented power to track, restrict, and even freeze transactions.
I voted yes to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) because it includes significant new guardrails and a permanent ban on a CBDC.
With FISA expiring tomorrow, this is a challenge to the Senate: will they finally pass legislation protecting our constituents from total federal surveillance of their finances or will they spit in the face of the American people and strip it out?
The choice is theirs to make and I hope that they make the correct decision. The American people will be watching.

Today at 10:30am ET, @RepBoebert and I will host a press conference at the Capitol House Triangle to announce our new Surveillance Accountability Act. It requires government searches to be conducted with a warrant based on probable cause, in accordance with the 4th Amendment.

The United States Constitution is NOT a suggestion—the Fourth Amendment is the law of the land.
Warrantless searches of American citizens are ongoing. We cannot allow this gross abuse of government overreach to continue.

Americans were forced to take a vaccine and punished if they didn’t.
Schools were shut down, hindering developmental learning for an entire generation.
Big corporations were propped up during the pandemic while local businesses struggled to survive.

In the middle of the night, the U.S. Senate decided:
❌ No paychecks for CBP non-law enforcement personnel
❌ No paychecks for ICE non-law enforcement personnel
❌ No funding for day-to-day operations of BOTH agencies
❌ Prohibit transferring funds to ANY Border Patrol operations
This should make the blood of every American boil.
