I repeat (it’s now 9.30) any chance the ABC can just once tell us what’s going on in Goldstein, Kooyong, Cowper, curtin, Bradfield. Any of the Teal seats? Can anybody else help me?

@SustainableTall Such a fragile ego he has… And how absurd and self-absorbed to claim that: "All styles, with the exception of parametricism, are retro-styles: minimalism, neo-modernism, neo-rationalism, neo-classicism, neo-historicism, neo-postmodernism." Can he even hear himself?

Took me 11 years of being in business, but I now have my company's name on a building I own! It was just another thing on my endless list of stuff to do - "put sign up on door" - and it took 5 minutes, and a lifetime. Feeling lots of things, but gratitude tops the list ❤️🚀🛠

House prices were already spiralling in 2004 and Howard and Costello did nothing about it. smh.com.au/politics/feder… "At the time, the Reserve Bank raised concerns about the combined impact of negative gearing and the capital gains tax concession. The Productivity Commission noted negative gearing and the concession had “combined to magnify the attractiveness of investing in residential property during the recent upswing in house prices, thereby adding to price pressures”. “Indeed … these changes have almost certainly contributed to the surge in investment in rental housing in the past few years,” #auspol

@bradpettitt Great op ed Brad. I was surprised by how much our 12-yo enjoyed cycling just for the sake of cycling on the island in September, and we all wondered how we could bring some of that magic home and into our daily lives… Why should the joy of cycling just be confined to holidays?

My op ed out today about how off the coast of one of the world’s least sustainable cities sits an exemplar of sustainable urbanism. Rottnest/Wadjemup is in many ways everything that Greater Perth is not. Perth could learn a lot from its holiday island. watoday.com.au/national/weste…

Noting that electrification of our homes is one the best ways to bring down emissions and bills, I looked at what Australian states were doing to help their residents get off gas and electrify their homes.

@SustainableTall Pretty sure it won’t attract anywhere near the number of pilgrims. So glad I stood under the underpass and tried to photograph that iconic structure before it disappeared…

“It's the market not the planning system that determines the rate at which stuff gets built. That's becoming more and more evident....We're just chasing our tails if we think reforming the planning system is going to solve this” archive.is/h7ZgN

@nimtimtim @RIBA Yes, this is a global issue… It’s deeply culturally engrained in the profession; there are a lot of limiting beliefs to unpack to create change… Will your session be recorded?

Tomorrow I'm going to be speaking at @RIBA's Guerrilla Tactics conference. I'll be talking about architect's pay: how bad it is and how it might be the single most important/ existential issue for the profession. There will be some ideas/ solutions too 🤑🤑🤑

NSW Productivity Com’n’s report on quick fixes for housing affordability. But look who they went to - almost exclusively those with vested interests & control of agenda, excluding all professionals involved: architects, planners engineers So no surprise on worst recommendations

Architects! The NSW Architects Act is in jeopardy to be relegated to licensing rather than professional registration. The Government wants to roll Architects into the Building Bills in an ad-hoc way. Information on the proposed changes here. architects.nsw.gov.au/news/732-propo… Make your voice heard - make a submission today. #nswpol

@ShaunCarter70 Another previously unknown cost of our addiction to fossil fuels… and the Feds are approving more coal mines. We are agents of our own destruction…
