Spoke to a local GP partner (West Mids) - the ARRS (aka GP replacement scheme) has been an absolute Godsend for them. Apparently they are “no longer obliged by NHS England” to employ doctors, PCN pays clinical staff wages & their income has rocketed to £250k/yr as a result. Now tell me the profession hasn’t shafted itself. Our own ladder-pullers are complicit in the current GP employment crisis.
