@Periklas1 @EinatWilf @Adi_Schwartz Strange how some lecture victims of crimes against humanity about what they should want, their attachment to their ancestral land, and how they should seek justice.

Happy to announce that the film "Unraveling UNRWA" by Duki Dror, based on our book @Adi_Schwartz "The War of Return", just won "Best Documentary" at the Israeli Film Festival in Paris. To view it in English and outside Israel this paid link should work: unrwafilm.online

Israeli settler violence in the occupied West Bank “is going into overdrive, it’s worse than ever,” says Norway’s Foreign Minister @EspenBarthEide. “Settler violence, settler activity, even supported by the Israeli government, allowing settlers to take full control of territories that legally is Palestine and which even agreements that Israel has signed have recognized as to be controlled by Palestinians.”

You cannot colonize a place you are from. There is no other land to which Jews as a collective are connected. Every Muslim site in the land is literally built on top of a Jewish one. A state founded by an indigenous people, who either already lived there or were returning from exile, without a mother empire, mostly fleeing as refugees for survival, does not meet the definition of settler colonialism by any stretch of the imagination.

The border police officers who massacred the Bani Odeh family won’t be questioned, as the evidence allegedly shows they shot “out of fear for their lives.” Two parents and their two children were killed, and the two surviving children were beaten. Let’s look at the “evidence” 🧵

Your grandmother older than Israel? Why don't you tell that to these Israeli children baking Matzahs for Passover in the Valley of Jezreel back in 1925? Photo: JNF archive.

i don’t credit random internet memes for being accurate nor Providing full context for remarks, but even if this were entirely Accurate in reflecting his sentiment, stray statements by even influential politicians with no decision making authority are not evidence of genocidal intent, much less genocide itself.

Graham Platner: “I fundamentally believe a nation that is committing a genocide should not be a place that we are putting money. We should be leveraging the fact that we have a lot of power in this relationship due to our funding. We should be leveraging that to get the Israeli government to stop behaving in such an utterly atrocious fashion”

An Israeli soldier films himself blowing up a Palestinian building as a "gift" to his wife, citing the biblical call to "wipe off the memory of Amalek. He filming his own war crimes as a romantic gesture is not a rogue actor-he is the ideal citizen of apartheid state

The fact that in all proposed partitions it was impossible to carve out a Jewish state without Arabs reflects the ownership reality: if the Jews had been offered the lands they did own it would had been a thin zigzagging strip of land, inviable as a state. Only by gifting the Jews sovereignty over land which contained Arab residents, including owners, could a viable Jewish state could be proposed. And this was in turn due to the fact that the Jews were not an indigenous population spread over the land, but a foreign body of immigrants heavily concentrated in less that 2,000 sq km. Framing the Jews' acceptance of these favorable offers, in which they gained land they hadn't payed for, as a generous compromise is one more example of Orwellian Zionist discourse.

In 1937 the majority of Jerusalem's residents were Jewish. 30% of the people living on this piece of land were Jewish. The proposed Jewish state would have hundreds of thousands of Arab Palestinians. The proposed Arab Palestinian are would have ZERO Jews. It was a horrible compromise that the international community made us with the Peel Commission. But we took it, even though they were stealing our lands. Palestinians rejected this offer even though it favored them so heavily. It was never about Gaza or freeing Palestine. They want to annihilate us.

@MarcoFoster_ @grahamformaine The idea that Israel is committing a genocide is not just wrong, it's ridiculous, pure propaganda with no basis in either the technical legal nor the dictionary meaning of genocide.

"Instead of a power plant strike, a plague of the firstborn - tomorrow evening, eliminate the children of Vahidi, Araghchi, and Ghalibaf. If we can't get to the parents, hit their children" Israeli analyst Orit Perlov, of the INSS think-tank, affiliated with Tel Aviv University, calls to murder children in Iran. She later deleted this tweet. Here's a translation of the full tweet: "Please replace the state approach with a cruel religious approach. Instead of a power plant strike, a plague of the firstborn - tomorrow evening, eliminate the children of Vahidi, Araghchi, and Ghalibaf. If we can't get to the parents, harm their children (it took us two years to do it in Gaza. We haven't done it in Lebanon yet). These are religious patents. No state rationality is working right now. Instead of a "mad landlord" approach, we need a cruel landlord. Trump can't promise hell - that's exactly what they want. Hitting power plants would be counterproductive If they drag us into a boxing match and ping-pong games - We lose."

The UN mediator proposed that Palestinian refugees had the right to return to their homes in 1948. The very next day, Zionist operatives ambushed his motorcade in Jerusalem and assassinated him. They literally murdered a UN official to stop peace.
