When did the GOP zero in on no tax for tips and overtime? I don’t disagree with taxing less of people’s income, it’s just narrow And if we’re going narrow, how about no tax on income for recent college grads, to help young people build wealth and save for a down payment?

Stand down, Chas. All production costs were paid for by the non-profit, The Great American Road Trip, Inc. No one in my family - including my husband - were paid to do this. We did it for FREE to celebrate America 250 & encourage other Americans to get off couches & screens and spend time together seeing our country. It was filmed in small one and two day stops over the course of seven months. You and I both know that my husband has done more in one year to transform the DOT and ATC than your husband did in over 4 years on the job. The Wisconsin Academic Excellence scholarship provides valedictorians of Wisconsin high schools $2,250 a year to attend a Wisconsin university. Instead of increasing that to help retain our best students in the state, the Republican-led legislature would rather hand Wisconsin athletics dark money, often spent on out of state “students” that will never stay for more than one year, and already receive full-rides $2,250 for Wisconsin scholars. Millions for out-of-state athletes.

BREAKING: The Wisconsin Senate has passed the NIL bill that includes an annual $14.6 million payment to UW-Madison that frees up sports revenue funds to pay NIL deals to athletes. Seven Republicans opposed the bill, which passed very narrowly 17-16.
