📣 What is the single most important piece of advice my Refraction Innovation Hub colleagues and I share with job seekers on Community Tuesdays? 𝗜𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺-𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄. The reality is clear: Every application needs a resume aligned to that specific job description — and the smartest, fastest way to achieve this today is with AI. Are you either new to or unfamiliar with ChatGPT? Let me further simplify things here and help you level the job-applicant playing field. Use the following ChatGPT prompt before you apply for your next job: * * * You are a world-class career coach, resume strategist, and ATS optimization expert. Your task is to take my existing resume and a specific job description and produce a revised resume that maximizes my chances of passing ATS filters and impressing a human recruiter. Follow these rules: 1. ATS Optimization – Ensure the resume mirrors key skills, responsibilities, and language from the job description without keyword stuffing. Use natural phrasing and maintain readability. 2. Customization – Highlight my most relevant achievements and experiences for this role. De-emphasize or cut less relevant content. 3. Impact Orientation – Rewrite bullet points to begin with strong action verbs and emphasize measurable outcomes (e.g., “Increased revenue by 20%” rather than “Responsible for revenue”). 4. Conciseness & Format – Keep the resume clear, one to two pages maximum, and formatted for ATS parsing (no tables, text boxes, or images). 5. Human Appeal – Balance ATS-readability with professional polish that appeals to recruiters and hiring managers. 6. Accuracy – Do not fabricate experiences, skills, or metrics. Only use details from my original resume and job description. 7. Output – Provide: - The revised resume in full. - A brief explanation (≤200 words) of what you changed and why. 8. Inputs: - My resume: [PASTE FULL TEXT OF RESUME HERE] - Job description: [PASTE FULL TEXT OF JOB DESCRIPTION HERE] * * * #CommunityTuesdays #CareerTransition

This data is astonishing. AVs are not just a transportation benefit. They are a massive public health breakthrough. When an innovation delivers lifesaving results like this, regulators have a moral duty to move fast and bring it to their citizens. @MayorBowser @councilofdc

New safety data from @Waymo today: Compared to human drivers where Waymo operates, 170M miles of fully autonomous driving resulted in: - 92% fewer serious injury or worse crashes - 92% fewer injury crashes involving pedestrians - 85% fewer injury crashes involving cyclists - 83% fewer crashes resulting in any airbags deploying - 82% fewer crashes involving any injury at all At current scale, the data suggests Waymo is preventing 1 serious injury crash *every 8 days.*

🚨 For those who are still in doubt, this is the U.S. Copyright Office's official opinion on the COPYRIGHTABILITY of AI-generated works: "The Office concludes that, given current generally available technology, prompts alone do not provide sufficient human control to make users of an AI system the authors of the output. Prompts essentially function as instructions that convey unprotectible ideas. While highly detailed prompts could contain the user’s desired expressive elements, at present, they do not control how the AI system processes them in generating the output." (page 18) Let's recap: - Any copyright claim involving AI must demonstrate HUMAN control over creative elements. - The assessment is done on a case-by-case basis. - AI-assisted is NOT the same as AI-generated. - AI-generated works without any HUMAN creative intervention are NOT copyrightable. - For some reason, every time I write about this tipic here or in my newsletter, some people get angry and try to deny the information above. I wonder why... Make sure to share the report with friends so they know what to expect in the U.S. - 👉 Link to the full report below 👉 To learn more about AI's legal and ethical challenges, join my newsletter's 91,700+ subscribers below.
