Rear Admiral Berdal visited our #815NAS detachment at Haakonsvern Naval Base ahead of Exercise COLD RESPONSE 26 (CORE26) - underscoring Norway’s commitment to enduring joint training and operations. It was an honour to host him and his team for the presentation of @NATO medals to our aircrew and engineers who deployed in KNM Roald Amundsen throughout Op HIGHMAST.
The crew is now embarking in @KnmThor to operate in the High North for CORE26. The exercise will test the full spectrum of maritime and littoral warfighting, strengthening Allied readiness in a strategically significant environment.
Operating from a @Forsvaret_no Fridtjof Nansen‑class frigate, Wildcat will contribute targeting support and layered defence integration alongside our NATO partners. Training in these conditions builds the agility, resilience and tactical edge we need for modern, high‑end maritime operations.
