Who is the WR 1 for the Chiefs the next three years? You counting on Rice? You sold on Worthy? You think Royals is going to turn into Randy Moss? Kelce going to find the fountain of youth? If Rice gets arrested, hurt or suspended, the WR group is pretty dreadful. Best QB on the planet. Getting him two really good receivers makes a ton of sense.

I wouldn't hate it if the Chiefs drafted two receivers in the first round.

Here is my argument. There is depth at corner all through the draft. They can get help later. The pass rush is a need for sure but the cupboard isn't bare. Jones and George (especially if he rebounds) is not nothing. Omar and Gillotte were invested in to help and they should be better/available this year. The Chiefs have no WR 1. Rice is unreliable and they probably shouldn't re-sign him. Worthy is not proven and could end up being Mecole Hardman part two. Kelce is ancient. Thornton is a nice deep threat, not a proven 1. They have the best QB on the planet. Stock his WR cupboard for the rest of his prime with a strong WR 1 at the top of rd. 1 and hopefully a strong WR 2 in the back end or round 2. He is your best chance to win. Add a CB, S and rotational edge help in rounds 3-6. If you hit on the receives, you are rolling on offense and you can add defensive pieces next year.

Not sure this would make a ton of sense. Need d-line or corner potentially with one of these depending on how the board falls

IMO the Chiefs don't have a #1 receiver. Not relying on Rice at all. He has just as much a chance of being suspended or in prison as he does going for 1,000 yards. Worthy is not proven yet, certainly not as a #1. Thornton is whatever. Royals couldn't get on the field. Gotta get Mahomes weapons.

@RPatrickAllen How would they play? You still have to get rice, worthy and I’m assuming they told Thornton they’d would actually play him in order to get him to resign and You still haven’t seen royals play. I think we could pick a WR in the first but 2 seems like a waste
