E85 Petrol ethanol blending: देश में पेट्रोल की बढ़ती कीमतों और आयात पर निर्भरता को कम करने के लिए सरकार अब बड़ा कदम उठाने जा रही है. केंद्र सरकार ने एक ड्राफ्ट नोटिफिकेशन जारी किया है, जिसमें पेट्रोल में ज्यादा मात्रा में एथेनॉल मिलाने के नियमों को शामिल करने का प्रस्ताव रखा गया है. अगर यह लागू होता है, तो आने वाले समय में गाड़ियां पूरी तरह एथेनॉल से भी चलेंगी.
