Because killing kids & animals in video games is hilarious. It is genuinely fucking hilarious. It’s so far removed from my real world stances on animal abuse & human murder that it moves beyond shocking & into the realm of the absurd. It’s why I & many others laugh manically as we massacre civilian NPCs in GTA. The shit isn’t real, & a game’s ability to completely invert our morals makes it all the funnier.

The problem with the second one is that it's not (meaningfully) true. It's based on a simplified (politically correct) understanding of intelligence where both sexes are normalized to an average of 100 points. G-testing suggests that yes, men score 3-8 points higher on average, and despite the flatter curve, there are more low intelligence women than low intelligence men.

Men are so emotional. Both statements are correct but hoards of men couldn't admit the one which painted them as a group in a more negative light than women and let their emotions overtake rational thought. Facts don't care about your feelings. Calm down.

AMD would a short term surge in fomo, but then the increased traffic would lead to better fabrication and then AMD would be unmatched in the arena until Intel caught up And then you have ARM (specifically M5 Max) which will likely soon surpass the mobile capacity of anything Nvidia has on offer (and in some cases already does) Nvidia is not the only player, regardless of how much people like to assume they are

The M5 is already benchmarking higher than 5090m in some tasks (See Blender 5.1 benchmarking)

Turns out that DLSS5 was after all a generic Snapchat beautify post filter. No per pixel developer control. Let's discuss requirements for a future AI filter: - Needs reference/training material for each hero asset in the game, especially faces. AI filter can't make character face look unrecognizable, but it's fine if the AI makes the face look closer to the reference face provided by the developer. - Needs to know which pixels belongs to which hero asset. Per pixel classification ID channel from the developer. That's the only way to make it reliable, and follow strict developer instructions. - Can't change the art style and mood. That must be developer controllable and testable for every scene. - Can't remove fog and volumetrics like DLSS5 does. Crucial for mood in many scenes. Needs to have scene depth understanding. Color is not enough. - Developer control at pixel level. AI filter that makes it cheaper to produce props and backgrounds is desirable. Devs can focus on hero assets more. But ruining hero asset design is not fine. I understand that Nvidia's customers are gamers, not devs. I also understand that some gamers hate modern "woke" games and want a beautify filter to fix them. But in order for this to really succeed, I strongly believe that Nvidia should work closer to the game devs and ask what they need, instead of ignoring the devs completely.

Game devs, I really think it’s just as important to make something you’re actually passionate about. You don’t have to jump onto 'friendslop' trends just to make money, honestly. It doesn't even guarantee you'll make a viral hit. Make what you want to make, but do it well!

Keene is gonna spend half a million dollars on a high tech porta potty for the homeless. A one way bus ticket to San Francisco is only $350, and the bus stations (and busses) have a working restroom.
