@Aidan_Millward @GPLapsJake I’m not, after seeing the onboard from the 04. The 47 with the move right to left then back left to right in a braking zone is bad enough against a competitor in the same class, against a much faster car it’s a recipe for disaster.

@AshVandelay The playoffs are already a farce, not granting it would be the icing on the cake, especially if he were to go on and win the regular season in spite of missing the 600. People have gotten waivers for suspensions, the start every race rule is a joke.

@atflorio I did. And still think this is an awful idea. Chasing continued insane growth isn’t a realistic option but that’s what you suggested. Multiclass is part of what makes sportscars great, taking that away would be bad for everyone.

The amount of people that didn't read the article & aren't reading the landscape 🤷 Where are customer LMH and LMDh cars supposed to race if they ever get produced? How many GT manufacturers have been locked out right now? And LMP2? And privateers?

@specutainment @limitedrunning I really like that GT3 idea. If you've 20 GT3 grid slots at Le Mans, you can give 4 slots to IMSA, 4 to ALMS, 4 ELMS with 8 left for NLS & SRO. I think that would be a great mix at the Greatest Race.

@specutainment make it only one qualifying session. Reverse for the sprint, actual qualifying positions for the actual GP. Get back a practice session or change parc ferme to after the sprint to help the GP.

@agbullet25 @JimmyBroadbent There absolutely was not room on the curb for the car. It would have been in the grass and then potentially bouncing, it could have been a lot worse for both. He’s lucky it was just 5 seconds.

@RWILLPOWER @JimmyBroadbent If the outside car doesn’t turn in and hit Jards, he wouldn’t have been bounced out into the grass and could still have maintained a line on the curb or just barely have part of the left side tires just touching the grass. There was a car width gap there including the curb.

Racing incident every day of the week. Idk what the stewards wanted Jards to do here. Its his corner, you don't just randomly back out when someone is alongside. If anything, the outside car turns into to Jards. Very weird decision, definitely not the right one.

@JimmyBroadbent I agree the contact happens early, and hence I don’t think the penalty is for that. At the widest point he’s maybe a foot from the white line, and while technically that leaves the other car “space” he’s in the dirt at that point and bouncing so that doesn’t feel like space to me

@RWILLPOWER We'll agree to disagree on the space. It was tight, but fine imo. The contact happens because the outside car tries to turn into a space inhabited by Jards. Jards is ahead at the apex on a consistent line and contact happens before corner exit. I ain't a steward tho.

@specutainment Corvette is really setting themselves up to be a powerhouse in GT racing. It’s going to be good next year but 2025 excites me even more if they can get into even more series and maybe some IGTC rounds+Nurburgring

@RWILLPOWER That wasn't a fluke for BoP. P2 cars were able to compete with the DP class. CORE played to the rules like every other Pro-Am lineup that has been seen in IMSA racing over the years. They used pit strategy & favorable yellows to their advantage.

Very happy to see that Colin has a seat but we need more customer LMDh machinery. I think Kurtz could hold his own in GTP with Braun at his side. CORE Autosport nearly won the prototype championship with bronze ranked Bennett and Braun.

@specutainment @radiolemans @kpcom @FIAWEC I get wanting two car teams instead of 1 for more data because that also doesn’t fill the GT grid and turns away cars that want to race while not filling your grid and that’s a bad combo. Or some get more and others don’t and you make people more mad.
