David King hates Hawthorn so much, he actually tried to argue the Meek tackle on Hayward shouldn't have been paid. Hayward dived on the ball dragged it in and made zero attempt. Holding the Ball every day of the week and twice on Sunday! #AFLBluesHawks

@smokiedawson Outcome only comes into the punishment if the MRO believes it’s a reportable offence in the first place - which in this case… MRO says nothing to see here.
Action is assessed on its own grounds before any concussion or grading comes into it!

@rhettrospective Clock should have stopped the first time the ball went over for a behind, and stay stopped while the ARC confirmed a behind. Free kick then correctly would have never been paid when the ball crossed over for the 2nd time. Que the circus music for the clown show.

Watching the replay, when the umpire paid the deliberate there was 2min 03sec remaining and the clock simply kept going down to 1min 43sec! while Haynes held the ball disputing the decision, and the umpire putting Lefau on an angle.
I dont think the umpire ever called time on.

The clock kept ticking the whole time Haynes had the ball then after it crossed the line! 15 seconds or so were lost. You better hope that doesn’t play a role late. How does this keep happening?

Do you think the AFL considered the impact and influence of the penalties for such inconsequential acts as the stand rule and centre circle line ruck rule? I mean their impact has been dramatic and game changing but the acts would be 2 of the most lame, irrelevant things in footy yet get a massively imbalanced reward?
