Saying goodbye to our other dog, Phoebe, today - exactly 3 weeks after saying goodbye to my other dog, Chloe, is rough. Phoebe was rescued from a box in the park with her brothers Chandler and Ross. Her name was always quite fitting, as Friends has always my favorite tv show and she has always been a little quirky. Phoebe, you may have only loved us for our food and only got moving when you had a mission to catch rabbits in the backyard but you gave us a great 14 years of loving you. Thank you for being a pillow for Chloe over the years - I know she’s resting on you in Heaven. 💗

im way more upset about the death of alan greenspan than i was expecting to be. quick story: in high school i wrote a poem about alan greenspan meeting allen ginsberg…there are a bunch of funny parallels between their lives (both born in 1926 in the tri-state area, both had deep musical backgrounds, before pivoting to econ, greenspan went to juilliard and played clarinet with stan getz, ginsberg collaborated with bob dylan, both attended columbia university (tho ginsberg withdrew), both embraced freedom in complementary ways: greenspan’s economic freedom versus ginsberg’s personal-sexual-spiritual freedom, both temperamentally anti-statist, the parallels really go on and on. anyway, in high school i think i recognized that both men represented complementary sides of me and who i fundamentally am…so i wrote this. I kinda always wanted to send this to alan greenspan but i never did and tbh really regret it now. probably a lesson in that.

I genuinely don’t understand this: 1. Google AI Mode has access to tons and tons and tons and tons and tons and TONS of sites that ChstGPT and Claude can’t access 2. If you’re in Chrome it is one million times easier to use the search bar for a query 3. It is objectively better for all local and navigation searches Not using Google anymore is literally just using the internet in a worse way. Not even picking on Signull I’ve seen plenty of “tech forward” people say this. It makes no sense to me.

As long as they’ll allow it, I’ll walk my kids to school. Someday soon, I won’t get to do this ever again. Our mornings together will forever be some of my favorite memories. The conversations, laughs, and goodbye hugs are irreplaceable. I can’t think of anything more important.
