Green MP Hannah Spencer is forced into a police car after anti-trans protesters fight in front of her in Manchester. I feel SICK watching this. Hannah must have been petrified. No MP (esp a woman) should ever EVER be in danger like this because of their views.

So sad to hear tonight that Nathaniel Dye has died. He was such a lovely man to interview. Awarded an MBE in the 2025 New Year’s Honours for raising cancer awareness. Not everyone agreed with him on assisted dying (which he was in favour of) but he conducted himself so gently.

6/ Some in our media and our politics may want to steamroller their toxic, divisive agenda over the rest of us, but the law remains clear: what matters is equality and fair treatment for both women and trans people – not the triumph of one over the other.

5/ As some of us have said all along, this is not a clear-cut issue. The Supreme Court did not say that trans people should be pushed out of public life. It instead reaffirmed a duty to ensure everyone — women and trans people — can live freely and without discrimination.

1/ You wouldn’t know it from the coverage, but two recent employment tribunal rulings have vindicated those of us who have said from the start that the Supreme Court judgment did not require the automatic exclusion of trans people from single-sex toilets and changing rooms. 🧵
